1. Introduction
The vent connection at the street side tank is un-supported on the first LNG-fueled Kenworth
T660
vehicles for UPS, see Figure 1. This can create a possible leak point. Adding a bracket (Figure 2)
to hold the MacroTech vent valve in place prevents movement of the plumbing components. Later
versions of LNG fueled T660 vehicles for UPS have a different vent connection location and are
not affected by this issue.

2. Affected Units
This bulletin is limited to the 125 generation one Kenworth LNG units built for customer end user
UPS. Subsequent builds have a different location for the vent valve and does not require additional
support. Refer to the list of VINs at the end of this bulletin.

3. Corrective Action
Install a support bracket for the vent valve. Order the parts kit, Agility Fuel Systems part number
20103289.

Button head socket hex cap screw, 1/4-20 x 7/8-in. , 18-8 SS, plain
Nylon lock nut, 1/4-20-in., 18-8 ss, plain
1/4-20 SS washer
Lock washer, 1/4-in., 18-8 SS, medium split, plain
Additional items required: Nickel tape, 1/4-in. HSS drill bit and drill
Repeated rotation of the shroud fittings can cause a leak. Caution should be taking when
rotating the assembly. If rotation of the check valve assembly is observed, the valve may have to
be replaced.
5. Procedure
Step 1: Locate street side vent valve
assembly. Close the grey handle valve on both
tanks. Verify the vent lines are not under
pressure by pushing in the vent valve nipple.
Step 2: Remove the MacroTech assembly
from the tee in the crossover line. Remove any
tape residue and clean the threads.

Step 3: Remove the crossover flex line after
the tee. Carefully and slowly turn the elbow
connection toward the shroud clockwise to
allow installation of the bracket.
Step 4: Attach the bracket in between the
valve and the jam nut. Reapply nickel tape to
the threaded end of the Macrotech that goes
into the tee.
Step 5: Swing assembly clockwise toward the
tank. Mark locations on the tank shroud for
drilling. Check underside of drill location for
obstructions.

Step 6: Move assembly to provide clearance
for drilling. Repeated loosening of the shroud
fitting should be limited. Center punch and drill
1/4-in. holes in the tank shroud. Drill carefully
to prevent the drill from skittering.
Step 7: Return the bracket and vent plumbing
back into position.
Step 8: Move the MacroTech assembly into
place and install the 1/4-20 hardware.

Step 9: Install the socket head cap screws
with lock washers on the head side. Nylon lock
nuts should be installed inside the shroud with
flat washers.
Step 10: Reattach the black vent cap.
Step 11: Verify the vent receptacle retains
adequate clearance when attached.

When installation is complete, re-pressurize the system by opening the grey handled valves.
Check for leaks with leak detecting fluid. Fix any leaks and the procedure is complete.
6. Warranty Statement
This procedure is covered under warranty. Standard repair time (SRT) is 0.75 hours. Refer to
warranty reimbursement procedures in the Warranty Manual, ENP-067.
