DESCRIPTION:
This Field Action is being issued to address ISX15 CM2350 Horsepower Rating in
chasis. This action provide
certified repair locations authorization to recalibrate the ECM and change the ECM base code from 400HP EF10081
to 450HP EF10247. This change will require installation of a new Engine Dataplate.
NOTE: To obtain a corrected dataplate, please refer to the instructions below.
ACTION:
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1 will be covered Regardless of coverage status, and
2 must be on the attached ESN list.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
1 Download the latest calibration available on QuickServe® Online. Recalibrate the ECM with the latest revision
of ECM code EF10247 available on QuickServe® Online. Changing the ECM base code will require the use of
a fleet count.
NOTE: If a customer has multiple eligible ESNs, have all ESNs available for Step 2.
2 Obtain a corrected data plate, please refer to Attachment B. Complete the attached Data Plate Request Form.
All fields on the request form are mandatory. Email a copy of the completed form to
cummins[email protected].
NOTE: Please note the Campaign number in the subject line of the email. All email requests will be processed
as rapidly as possible and in the order they are received.
3 Remove the old engine data plate, clean the area where the new plate will go with denatured alcohol or other
acceptable solvent, and install the new engine data plate. The new data plate must be placed in the correct
location with the same orientation as the original engine data plate.
NOTE: All removed engine data plates must be destroyed.
4 Complete the blank sections of Engine Modification Form found in Attachment C. Email the completed form to
comm.claims@cummins.com.
5 Update the Fuel Rating Option on QuickServe® Online. Use the Add Upfit tab found in the Parts Section for
your ESN(s). Enter the appropriate Fuel Rating Option Number FR11276 and submit the upfit.
6 File one claim for all labor associated with this repair. Provide the ECM revision codes from before and after the
recalibration in the claim.
MATERIAL DISPOSITION:
Materials removed as a result of this field action must be scrapped.

NOTE: Please schedule the Technician's time to maximize the number of units that can be repaired on a single visit.
When filing claims for multiple ESNs, where travel is required and authorized, travel can be filed to ONLY one (1)
