Introduction
Some 2012 -2013 model year Tacoma vehicles may exhibit a wind whistle type noise from the front
of the vehicle. This noise may be coming from the radiator grille where it meets the hood. A radiator
grille seal has been developed to address this condition.

Repair Procedure
1. Confirm the condition as described in the
introduction.

2. Duplicate the noise, then mask off the rubber seal between the radiator grille and the hood.
Is the noise still present?
• YES -This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable Repair
Manual.

3. Remove the radiator grille.

A. Remove the 2 screws.
B. Using the plastic pry tool, remove the 2 clips.
C. Disengage the 8 guides and remove the
radiator grille.
4. Remove the 12 screws from the back side of radiator grille.

5. Separate the radiator inner grille from the outer grille.
A Using a plastic pry tool, remove the 10 claws.

B. Disengage the 10 claws and separate the radiator outer grille and inner grille.

6. Remove the Radiator Grille Seal by removing the 11 clips with the pliers.

grille using a cloth.

8. Apply the Radiator Grille Sea I to the rib and be sure to center the sea I sealer so that it overlaps
both sides of the rib equally.
