Surround Camera Replacement

CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation: On vehicles fitted with the surround camera system only, one or more of the surround camera images
may not appear on the Touch Screen (TS) when selected. The concern may appear as a blue screen camera
image for the affected camera.
Cause: This may be caused by moisture ingress in the camera.
Action: Should a customer express this concern, follow the Service Instruction outlined below.

SERVICE INSTRUCTION:

CAUTION: A Jaguar Land Rover-approved Midtronics battery power supply must be connected to the
vehicle battery during SDD diagnosis / module programming.

CAUTION: Ensure all ignition 'ON' / ignition 'OFF' requests are carried out; failure to perform these
steps may cause damage to control modules in the vehicle.

NOTE: SDD must be loaded with DVD134.01 v.133 or later.

NOTE: The rear view camera is linked with the front right camera. If the rear view camera is faulty
(it will permanently be displayed blue) the front right will flicker three times on initial activation, and vice
versa if the front right camera is faulty. Therefore only the camera that is permanently displayed blue
requires replacing. The right mirror camera is linked with the front left camera. If the right mirror camera
is faulty (it will be permanently displayed blue) the front left will flicker three times on initial activation,
and vice versa if the front left camera is faulty. Therefore only the camera that is permanently displayed
blue requires replacing.

1. Connect the Jaguar Land Rover-approved Midtronics battery power supply to the vehicle battery.
2. Turn ignition 'ON' (engine not running).
3. Connect SDD to the vehicle and begin a new diagnostic session, by reading the VIN for the current vehicle and
initiating the data collect sequence.
4. Follow the SDD prompts.
5. Select 'Diagnosis' from the Session Type screen.
6. Select the 'Selected Symptoms' tab, and then select the following:
Electrical - Driving aids - Camera display - Camera image is not displayed

7. Select 'continue'.
8. Select the 'Recommendations' tab, and then select 'Run' to perform the 'Image processing module camera's Camera auto learn routine' option.
9. Follow all on-screen instructions to complete this task.
10. Select the 'Recommendations' tab, and then select 'Run' to perform the 'Image processing module camera's
- Camera calibration' option.
11. Follow all on-screen instructions to complete this task.
12. Exit the current session.

13. Disconnect the IDS and the battery power supply from the vehicle.
