Technical Background
When testing the original factory battery in the Routan, for warranty purposes it is required to use the CCA rating
of the factory battery label.

Note:
MY2011-2014 Routan can have either a 700 CCA or 730 CCA battery.
Always check the CCA specification on the battery label.

Testing and Charging
Note:
Batteries are to be tested while in the vehicle only.
• Testing the battery with MCR-340 and the INC-940 use the following steps:
1. Select test: In Vehicle.
2. Battery type: Regular.
3. Test type: Select Other Test.
4. Select input: Scroll to CCA and input CCA rating as listed on the battery label.
• Testing the battery with the VAS-6161 use the following steps:
1 Select: Service Test
2. Select: Top Post
3. Battery Type: Regular
4. Select CCA and input CCA rating as listed on the battery label.
Note:
You cannot select CCA with the VAS-6161 using Inventory or Warranty Test modes.
You cannot select CCA with the MCR-340 or INC-940 using 48 hour or Warranty Test modes.
Use only the Service Test mode or Other Test mode. Service Test and Other Test will be accepted for
warranty claim.

When testing ETKA battery part number 7B0915105 labeled 360A DIN and 600A EN/SAE:
• For MCR-340 or INC-940 use “Other Test” and select 600CCA from the battery rating list.
• For VAS6161 use “Service Test” and select 600CCA from the rating units list.
