During the inspection of parts of the reversible seat belt retractor (RevAS), active belt buckle (AGS) and

their control units, the components do not exhibit any technical damage.
Cause:

Complaints/ fault code: Inoperative, electrical fault, CAN faults.
Remedy:
Software update
NOTE:
To avoid the unnecessary replacement of the reversible seat belt retractor, active belt buckle or their control units,

the software must be updated.
If a software update is not successful and components are replaced,
these must then be enabled and, if necessary, initialized (observe diagnostic routine).
When submitting the warranty claim, fault reports must be enclosed; if these are not enclosed,
the warranty claim may be rejected.
