Complaint:
Noise from backrest frame with a side load on the left and right front seat.
Cause:
Riveted joint for lower side backrest frame inadequate (figure 1, arrows)
Remedy:
1. Remove seat
2. Expose backrest frame (see Remove/install cover on front seat backrest)
3. Reinforce riveted joint of sheet-metal lug on left and right with additional weld seams (picture 2, arrows) to backrest
frame. Replace defective head restraint guides.
4. Install in the reverse order.
