Cause:

The spring washer at the rear of the mounting on the upper rail is distorted too much under load

Remedy:

The spring washer (Pie. 1) must be replaced with a ribbed plastic washer (Pie. 3). This ribbed plastic washer eliminates play at the affected bolted connection.

Risk of injury due to the seat backrest flipping forward suddenly if the release lever is operated accidentally during

checking and repair work, see AS91.00-Z-0005-01V.

1. Remove left or right seat and lay down with the back of the seat backrest on a suitable surface, see AR91.1 OP-1000V.
2. Unscrew threaded bolt (Pie. 2, item 2) for seat height adjustment rocker at the side nearest the door.

3. Remove corrugated washer (Pie. 1) from threaded bolt (Pie. 2, item 2) and replace with ribbed washer (Pie. 3) A

003 990 08 82.

4. Coat threads of threaded bolt with Loctite 270 locking agent.

5. Install in the reverse order.

Tightening torque:

Threaded bolt, seat height adjustment rocker to seat rail 19 Nm.

Important: The ribbed plastic washer may only be used on seat adjusters with 07 status, see remark beside part number on seat adjuster (Pie. 4). The use of ribbed plastic washers on seat adjusters prior to 07 status is prohibited.
