Cause:
Various causes

Remedy:
Check list BEFORE replacing LCT/PASS lmbrace) device:
1. Start Diagnostics session.
If no diagnostic session can be established with the mbrace module, please follow these steps to test whether a diagnostic session can be established:
- Ensure your diagnostis tool is updated to the latest SW version
- Ensure the problem is not due to a different cause (e.g. CAN bus not operative, no power, etc.).
- In Xentry, select "DTA-mbrace orTELEAID".
- Depending on the mbrace generation, "DTA-mbrace orTELEAID (N123/4)" is displayed for LCT (mbrace 1),
"mbrace-mbrace (N123/4)" is displayed for PASS (mbrace 2). The system automatically recognizes one or the other
depending on the model line and model year.
- If no communication could be established a timeout warning error is displayed.
- If you abort the process while communication is being started, the diagnostics tool will then guide you to the check
section, you will be then asked to double check pinning and power feed, plug in/out the device and retry, etc.
- Verify that you can establish a diagnosis session with a known good mbrace module in a known good vehicle
If you cannot establish a diagnostic session with the mbrace module after the checks above have been completed,
the mbrace module can then be replaced.
2. The mbrace module can replaced if any of the following critical DTC and preconditions apply:

The rest of error codes are related to the network and/or service provider (please see attached pdf document for more
information), and therefore shall not lead to replacement of the mbrace module. Please follow instructions in the Xentry/OAS under "Adaptations->Teach-in processes-> Activation". The diagnostics tool will indicate during the activation
process if the unit needs to be replaced or not, therefore follow in all cases the instructions, and do not replace device
if nor been advised. For any authorization issues, please also follow Ll82.95-P-054406 and provide the additional information that is requested in the document to help improve the registration process as a whole.
LCT (mbrace 1):
DOOO Control unit Telecommunications is faulty
0662 Component Internal transmitter and receiver unit in module is faulty.
0667 GPS error. However if 0667 and 0669 (CAN overload indication) are both active, this should not trigger a
unit replacement. This might be a failure of the Head Unit
An mbrace module replacement is not allowed for any other OTC. Instead please follow the list of recommended
tests/indications in Xentry/DAS.

3. Call VZT (Verizon Telematics) dealer support (877-826-6319) with your vehicle information. Explain the problems
you are experiencing and request that they assist you with setting up the account properly. Be prepared to provide
the agent with the "Status of failed registration" and "operation condition" you are seeing in Xentry (under Actual Values->Activation Status).
Check list WHEN replacing LCT/PASS lmbracel device:
In case a replacement was done, please include following, otherwise your claim will be denied by the QEC:
1. Clear and detailed description of the problem. Some areas to consider:
•

Which mbrace functions are not working properly (internet, remote door lock, i/r-button, etc.}?
What behavior is the customer describing?
What happens when pressing the i/r-button (do you hear any network announcement)?
What happens when you try to initiate MB apps/internet?

2. A Quick test containing the list of active DTCs, and their environment information as per OAS/Xentry. This applies
for both LCT and PASS (mbrace 1 / mbrace 2).
3. For PASS (mbrace2) only: Please include the following parameters from the "Actual Values->Activation Status" menu in Xentry:
i. "Operation Condition": in-service/in-provisioning/out-of-service/transport mode/production mode
ii. "Service Provider Working Key": valid or invalid
iii. "Status of failed registration"
4. Date, contact person and/or Ticket Number with the service provider. (Verizon Telematics/Hughes Telematics for
mbrace/mbrace2, ATX for Tele Aid): Please provide confirmation that the service provider has been contacted first
and the account was properly set up from their side. When in contact with service provider, what is the activation status of the customer's account?
