Reason for block
Complaint:
When the steering wheel buttons"+" (increase volume) and"-" (reduce volume) are pressed once, the volume sometimes adjusts all the way to the maximum or minimum (mute) volume.
Notes:
- Volume adjustment using the rotary switch in the center console functions correctly.
- The problem can be temporarily rectified by an ignition cycle.
Cause:
Software release of Audio 20 control unit (A26/14)
Remedy:
Perform software update of Audio 20 control unit (A26/14) to software release 14/15.00 or higher.
This software release is expected to be available as of Xentry Diagnostics version 07/2014.
Replacing the Audio 20 control unit (A26/14) does not remedy the problem!
