The navigation function cannot be activated in the Audio 20 control unit (A26/17).

The central display control unit (A40/8) shows the message "The navigation software on the memory card is obsolete.

Cause:

The software releases of the Audio 20 control unit (A26/14) and the Garmin MAP PILOT SD card are not compatible.
Remedy:

Perform software update of Audio 20 control unit (A26/14) to software release 14/06.00 or higher.

This software release is expected to be available as of Xentry Diagnostics version 05/2014.

It is essential to install the add-on 3685 otherwise aborts can occur during the software update.

Note:

Do not test the Garmin MAP PILOT SD card in a reference vehicle as it can only be authorized for one head unit (cf.

WIS document GF82.61-P-2003RF).

Replacing the Audio 20 control unit (A26/17) or the Garmin MAP PILOT SD card does not remedy the problem.
