Situation: When opening the front door, the front door finisher may contact the rear door finisher.

Cause: This may be caused by the front door finisher moving rearwards on the door.

Action: Should a customer express this concern, follow the Service Instruction outlined below.

condition (tick).

 Check condition of both the left and the right
doors.
2. Poor trim overlap of finisher on front right door (X)

and correct trim overlap (tick).

3. Remove affected door exterior mirror (see TOPIx Workshop Manual, Section 501-09).

9. Release the door top trim finisher and remove.

11. Slide up, remove, and discard the door B-pillar

trim.
12. Check the door seam condition (incorrect (gap)

seam shown).

13. If required, close the seam as shown.
14. Install the door seal to the new door B-pillar trim.

 Apply ample soapy water as a lubricant.

15. Slide the new door B-pillar trim in place.
16. Install seal to the new door B-pillar.

17. Correct fitment of the new door B-pillar.
18. Make sure the trim on the door B-pillar is fully

over the door seam as shown.

19. Tighten to 1.3Nm.

21. Install the margin seal.

22. Make sure that margin seal is fitted as shown.
23. Install door exterior mirror (see TOPIx Workshop Manual, Section 501-09).

24. If required, perform steps 3-24 to the front left door.

25. Release the fixed glass seal.
26. Remove the seal.
27. Remove the rear door casing (see TOPIx Workshop Manual, Section 501-05).

31. Using a suitable tool, release the door outer trim.

36. Displace the rear glass to gain access to door C-pillar fixing (see TOPIx Workshop Manual, Section 501-11).

43. Install fixings and tighten to 1.3Nm.
44. Apply protective tape to the existing trim prior to

fitting the new door C-pillar trim.

45. Install the new door C-pillar trim.

46. Tighten the two (2) fixings to 1.1 Nm.
47. Tighten the front fixing to 3.2Nm.

48. Install the rear door glass (see TOPIx Workshop Manual, Section 501-11).

49. Install the margin seal.

 Apply ample soapy water as a lubricant.

51. Check the profile of the front-to-rear doors. This

should be 4mm +/- 1mm over the full length.
52. If required, perform steps 25-51 to the rear left door.
