In the event of a quarified customer concern relating to wind noise from the cbsed sunroof then consder including the folbwing glass setting
procedure into your investgation
The glass/solar panel is secured to the operating mechanism by two sets of th ree retain ing screws bcated on each sde of the sfding mechanism (see
Figure 3), these screws can be accessed without disturbing t he interior trim. Access to the retain ing screws is dependent on the type of panel fitted
but the general removal, installation and setting procedures are the same fo r all panels

Applicable to cars fitted with a glass sunroof panel
1.

Move the sunblind to the rearmost position. Refer to " Sunroof Funct io nality" Rep.Gr.60

IMPORTANT - To prevent damage the fo lbwing steps must be completed in the correct order.
2.

Unclip the belbws from the bwer rail -1-, starting at the rear and working forwards (see Fig ure 1)

3.

Unclip the belbws from the upper rail -2-, starting at the front and wo rking rearwards (see Figure 1)

4.

Final~, Push t he belbws rearwards to disengage t he peg from the sbtted hole-3- in the glass panel (see Figure 1)
Applicable to cars fitted with a solar sunroof panel

1.

open the sunroof by turn ing the rotary switch cbckwise to the first side open mark. Refer to "Sunroof Functionality" Rep.Gr.60

Pun down the fron t edge of the sunblin d to release t he spring clip - 1- in the cent re then side the sunblind ful~ rearwards.

To set the position of the glass/solar panel

1.

As a prerequisite to setting the glass the glass/so lar panel seal should be lubricated.

Ensure the seals clean and dry then appty Krytox GPL 205 (lubrK:ant), part number 000.096.3 31, sparingty to t he exposed seal at t he fron t
and sdes of the glass/ solar panel

3.

Cbse the sunroof and set to the full tilt positi:>n

4.

LubrK:ate the remaining areas of the seal (rear and sdes). Making sure that the entire length of the seals lubrK:ated

To enable the glass/solar panel to be adjusted in the roof apertu re slacken the six screws, th ree on either sde, securing the glass element of the
sunroof (see Fgure 3)

Use setting gauges WT 10331 to set a 0.5mm gap between both the rear edge of the glass/solar panel and the body aperture and the front
edge of the glass/solar pane and body aperture (see Fgure 4)

Set the front edge of the panel level (Omm) or up to lmm BELOW the surface of the car body concentrate on achieving this measurement
towards the outer edges of the panel (see Fk;Jure 5)

Set the rear edge of the panel level (Omm) or up to lmm ABOVE the surface of the car body concentrate on achieving this measurement
towards the outer edges of the panel (see Fk;Jure 6)

9.

Once the glass panel is correct~ set then tk;Jhten the retaining screws and carry out the sunroof initialisatbn procedure, this drrves the roof
through its complete axis of travel. Once initialised recheck the gaps, and adjust as required. A~ays run through the initialisatbn procedure
after adjustment. Refer to workshop manual Rep. Gr. 60 Sunroof - To initialise
