Introduction
Some 2008 - 2013 model year Land Cruiser vehicles may exhibit a squeal or squeak noise from the

front of the vehicle when lightly applying the brakes at low vehicle speeds. A new front brake disc

has been made available to address this condition .

This bulletin applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown

below.

Repair Procedure
1. Conduct a road test to verify the noise condition.

HINT

Noise usually occurs during stops at low speeds with light pressure applied to the brake pedal.
Did the front brake system exhibit a squeak or squeal noise?

• YES -
Continue to step 2 for the front brake disc replacement.
• NO - This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable Repair Manual.

2. Remove and replace the front brake disc with the updated parts and install the previously

removed brake pads.

Refer to the Technica l Information System (TIS), applicable model and model year Repair

Manual:

• 2008 I 2009 I 2010 I 2011 I 2013 Land Cruiser:

3. Road test the vehicle to confirm the front brake noise cond ition is no longer present.
