Dealers must perform this Service Campaign on all affected vehicles prior to customer retail delivery and
whenever an affected vehicle is in the shop for any maintenance or repair.
When a vehicle arrives at the Service Department, access Hyundai Motor America's "Warranty Vehicle
Information" screen via WEBDCS to identify open Campaigns .

DESCRIPTION: This bulletin describes the procedure for replacing the Navigation head unit on certain
Santa Fe (NC) vehicles .

Before ordering the Campaign part, read the Service Procedure below (HOW TO IDENTIFY DIMENSION
and INF/ NITY NAVIGATION SYSTEMS).

NOTE: Submit claim using the Campaign Claim Entry Screen.

SUBJECT:

NAVIGATION SYSTEM REPLACEMENT (SERVICE CAMPAIGN TTO)

Service Procedure: HOW TO IDENTIFY DIMENSION AND INFINITY NAVIGATION SYSTEMS

1) Before replacing the AVN assembly, confirm the door speaker emblem and AVN logo pictured below.
2) The door speaker emblem and the A VN logo must be the same when replacing the A VN.
3) Transfer the SD Card from the original Navigation system to the newly order part.

Confirm the logo on the upper left corner of
the Navigation system in the vehicle before
ordering any parts or proceeding to the
replacement procedures below.

2.

Verify the Navigation system part being
installed matches the emblem on the door
speaker cover.

Door speaker emblem must match
Navigation system logo for correct
system operation.

Service Procedure: NAVIGATION SYSTEM REPLACEMENT
1.

Ensure the vehicle is turned OFF and the
Navigation system is OFF .

Store any customer radio presets before
removing the radio.

2.

Using a plastic trim tool , insert the trim
removal tool along the lower corner of the
vent as shown in the image to the right.

The material around the lower portion of
the vents are flexible , but repeated
rough handling could warp this material.

3.

With the plastic trim tool inserted (1 ), press
down on the tool (2) to allow the vent to
release from the retaining clips and
protrude outwards .

While the vent loosens from the retaining
clips, move the trim tool around the edges
to aid the removal of the vent (1-3).

NOTICE
Repeat vent removal procedure for
remaining right side vent prior to
removing the radio .

5.

With both left and right side vents removed ,
unscrew the four Navigation mounting
screws (A) from both left and right sides of
the unit using a Phillip 's head tool.

6.

With all four mounting screws removed,
hold the sides of the Navigation system
and pull the unit out gently.

With the Navigation system held in hand ,
remove all connectors (B) and then remove
the unit from the vehicle .

8.

Replace the Navigation system and use
the same SD Map Card removed from the
original Navigation, and then re-install all
removed screws, connectors and vents in
the reverse order of removal.

NOTICE
Before replacing the Navigation system,
confirm that the ordered part matches
the door speaker emblem.
9.

Verify Navigation and Radio functionality,
AM, FM, and XM (if active); restore
customer presets to the new radio .
