Product Improvement Campaign C1007230 – PCV Cold Weather Kit Update
MODELS:
FEC52, FEC72, FEC92, FGB72
VEHICLES INVOLVED:
2012-2015 model year FEC52, FEC72, FEC92 and FGB72 trucks
CONDITION:
This update will replace components in existing cold weather kits to match the most improved technology
available.
MODIFICATION:
An optional cold weather update kit may have been installed on certain Canters operated in extreme cold regions.
Cold weather update kits LT133A02 and LT133C01 can be ordered through the Recall Parts Order Form on
Fusonet.
EXISTING KIT IDENTIFICATION:
There must be one of three different combinations of kits previously installed on the truck:
1. The installed cold weather kit has no PCV cover heater.
Utilize update kit LT133A02.
2. The installed cold weather kit has a non-OEM PCV cover heater (orange).
Utilize update kit LT133A02.

3. The installed cold weather kit has an OEM PCV cover heater (black).
Utilize update kit LT133C01.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface, turn off the engine, apply the parking brake and chock the
wheels.
CAUTION! Do not remove the wheel chocks until all modification work has been completed.
2. Perform the Campaign using the attached modification procedure.

INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS
Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface, shut off the engine, place the
A/T shifter into the PARK position, fully apply the parking brake, chock
the wheels and disconnect the battery cables. CAUTION! Do not
remove the wheel chocks until all modification work has been
completed!

Remove PCV cover, PCV pipe, PCV hose and intake duct as shown in the figure above.
The PCV cover, nuts and Blow-by-pressure-sensor will be reused.

Step 2

Remove and replace the O ring and shaft seal in the
PCV cover. Please refer to the service manual for
installation detail.

pipe. Install it in the heated pipe assembly.

diagram keeping the pipe bracket parallel to the cover.

Remove the original studs that mount the PCV cover. Install the new studs. Install the PCV Heated pipe
assembly and PCV cover. Install the clips on the studs. Attach the coolant hose with clamp on the PCV pipe.

Install the PCV heater cover. Tighten flange nuts to specified torque. Use caution not to damage the wires of
the PCV heater cover.
