VEHICLES INVOLVED:
Certain 2012 through 2015 model year FEC52, FEC72, FEC92 and FGB72 trucks produced from April 8, 2011
through September 9, 2014.
NOTE:
The information contained in this document is intended for use by trained, professional technicians with the
knowledge, tools, and equipment to properly and safely perform diagnoses and repairs. It informs service
technicians about conditions that may occur in some vehicles, or provides information that could assist in proper

OWNER NOTIFICATION:
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by mail.
MODIFICATION:
On all affected vehicles, a cleaner and lubricant will be sprayed onto the turbocharger linkage to prevent rust build
up that could potentially prevent the link from operating normally, resulting in a reduction in engine power. An
initial can of FP100273 Metaflux 70-81 and FP100274 Kano Aerokroil will be automatically invoiced and
shipped to each dealer. Please note that each can of cleaner and lubricant will complete approximately 20
vehicles. Replacement cans of cleaner and/or lubricant can be ordered using the Recall Parts Order Form on
Fusonet.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface, turn off the engine, apply the parking brake and chock the
wheels.
CAUTION! Do not release the parking brake or remove the wheel chocks until all modification
work has been completed.
2. Perform the Campaign using the appropriate section of the attached modification procedure.

Turbocharger Linkage Lubrication Procedure
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface, turn off the engine, apply the
parking brake and chock the wheels.
CAUTION! Do not release the parking brake or remove the wheel
chocks until all modification work has been completed.

Standard cab

2. Locate the turbocharger waste gate linkage from the right rear of
the engine.

3. Attach the 40cm nozzle extension to the Kano AeroKroil can. Spray
the upper & lower sections of the linkage until it is coated evenly.

4. Remove and clean the 40cm nozzle
extension.

5. Attach the 40cm nozzle
extension to the METAFLEX 70-81
can. Spray the upper & lower
sections of the linkage.
6. Make sure that grease is applied
evenly. Reassemble the removed
parts. Remove and clean the nozzle
extension.

Crew cab
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface, turn off the engine, apply the
parking brake and chock the wheels.
CAUTION! Do not release the parking brake or remove the wheel
chocks until all modification work has been completed.
2. Remove the right front tire. Remove the splash guard.

3. Locate the turbocharger linkage and pivot.
4. Attach the 40cm nozzle
extension to the Kano AeroKroil
can. Spray the upper & lower
sections of the linkage.
5. Remove and clean the 40cm
nozzle extension.
6. Attach the 40cm nozzle
extension to the METAFLEX 70-81
can. Spray the upper & lower
sections of the linkage.
7. Make sure that grease is
applied evenly. Reassemble the
removed parts.
8. Remove and clean the 40cm nozzle extension.
