Service Update for Inventory and Customer Vehicles
Contact between the Fuel Feed Line and the A/C Pipe
Expires with Base warranty

MODELS:

2013 – 2014 Chevrolet Trax with 1.4L Turbo engine

This service update includes vehicles in dealer inventory and customer vehicles that return to
the dealership for any reason. This bulletin will expire at the end of the involved vehicle's New
Vehicle Limited Warranty period.
CONDITION
Certain vehicles may have been produced with insufficient clearance between the fuel feed line
and the A/C pipe. Should these lines contact one another, the AC line may wear, possibly
resulting in a refrigerant leak.
CORRECTION
Dealers are to inspect the A/C pipe for wear and if present, replace the AC line. In addition,
dealers are to install a swivel clip to maintain clearance between fuel feed line and A/C pipe
VEHICLES INVOLVED
All involved vehicles are identified by VIN in the Global Warranty Management System Investigate Vehicle History Application. Dealership technicians should always check this site to
confirm vehicle involvement prior to beginning any required inspections and/or repairs. It is
important to routinely use this tool to verify eligibility because not all similar vehicles may be
involved regardless of description or option content.

PART INFORMATION
Parts required to complete this recall are to be obtained from General Motors Customer Care
and Aftersales (GMCC&A). Please refer to your “involved vehicles listing” before ordering parts.
Normal orders should be placed on a DRO = Daily Replenishment Order. In an emergency
situation, parts should be ordered on a CSO = Customer Special Order.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Air conditioner pipe inspection
a. Open the hood of the vehicle.

b. Locate the A/C pipe (1) for inspection.
c. Inspect the A/C pipe section (1) that is adjacent to the fuel hose (2):
i. If the A/C pipe does not show any sign of wear or damage, proceed to step 2.
ii. If the air conditioner pipe is worn or damaged, replace the A/C line, refer to Air
Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly Replacement Procedure in SI.

2. Swivel Clip Installation

a. Install the swivel clip (1) underneath fuel hose quick connector (2) as pictured above.
