I FIRST STARTED NOTICING THAT MY VEHICLE WAS BURNING OIL FASTER THAN NORMAL IN AUG. 2018. I TOOK IT TO MIDAS TO GET MY OIL CHANGE AND EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT MY CAR WAS BURNING OR LEAKING OIL BECAUSE I HAD TO PUT MORE OIL IN MY CAR. HOWEVER THERE IS NO LEAKING NO WHERE. MIDAS TOLD ME TO COME IN SOONER FOR MY OIL CHANGE AND THAT'S WHAT I DID. THEN IN LATE PART OF 2019 AND EARLIER 2020 I WILL BE DRIVING AND MY CAR WOULD STALL AND ACT LIKE IT IS GOING TO SHUT OFF. IN JUNE 2020 I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE CAR STARTED SLOWING DOWN AND LOSING POWER. I PULLED OVER AND WAITED A LITTLE BIT. I THANK GOD I WASN'T IN AN ACCIDENT. MY ENGINE THEN STARTED KNOCKING ONCE I GOT HOME AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE CODE WAS MY O2 SENSOR. I GOT THAT REPLACED BUT MY ENGINE KEPT KNOCKING. SO I TOOK IT TO FORT WAYNE KIA BE A TWO REPAIR SHOPS STATED THAT IT SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE ENGINE, AND KIA DEALERSHIP SAID IT WASN'T MY ENGINE KNOCKING IT WAS THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER THAT IS BAD AND CAUSING THE KNOCKING/NOISE. BUT THAT'S PART OF MY EXHAUST SYSTEM AND HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE NOISE COMING FROM MY ENGINE, AND BURNING OIL. OF COURSE THAT PIECE SUPPOSEDLY ISN'T COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY. KIA SAID IT WAS GOING TO COST OVER $2000 TO REPLACE THE PART BUT NEVER EXPLAINED WHY MY CAR IS BURNING OIL SO QUICKLY. I HAVE PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW THINKING I WOULDN'T HAVE THE SAME ISSUES THAT COME WITH BUYING A USED CAR BUT NOPE. I NEED MY VEHICLE TO GET AROUND AND WORK.
