SO MY STEERING WHEEL COUPLER HAS GONE BAD I KNEW THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS WHEN I FIRST GOT THE CAR; WHEN I WENT TO THE HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP NOBODY WOULD FIX IT AND THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME $600 TO FIX IT. AND BECAUSE OF COVID I COULDNT GET IT FIXED SINCE I WAS FURLOUGHED. THEN I WAS CHARGED $500 TO TRY TO FIND WHAT A TICKING NOISE.WAS IN MY CAR AND I WAS CHARGED FOR.SOMETHING THAT HYUNDAI DIDNT FIX AND OTHER DEALERS CHARGED ME AND MY ISSUE STILL WASNT FIXED. ALL TOGETHER I WASTED ALMOST $1100 TO FIND A WAY TO FIX MY ISSUES AND NOTHING WAS FIXED. ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 28, 2020 I PURCHASED A CERTIFIED USED HONDA CRV FROM HONDA OF JOLIET. AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR A FEW DAYS, I NOTICED THIS SOUND COMING FROM THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE. TO BE SURE, I HAD MY BROTHER IN LAW DRIVE THE VEHICLE. HE MENTIONED THAT THERE MAY BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE WHEEL BEARING OR THE BRAKES. ON MONDAY, AUGUST 31, I DROPPED THE VEHICLE OFF FOR SERVICE. WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, I HAD NEW BRIDGESTONE TIRES. I WAS CONFUSED AND STEVE COULD NOT EXPLAIN WHY THE SERVICE DEPT. RECOMMENDED NEW TIRES. I GO TO PICK UP MY VEHICLE ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3RD. WHEN I PICKED UP THE VEHICLE, I NOTICED THAT THE TIRES WERE DIFFERENT. THE BRAND WAS ADVANTA TIRES. LOOKING ONLINE CONSUMER REPORTS FOUND THE ADVANTA HAD AN AVERAGE TREAD LIFE OF 44,500 MILES COMPARED WITH AN AVERAGE OF 71,000 MILES FOR ALL THE TIRES. IN ADDITION, THESE TIRES HAVE POOR PERFORMANCE IN WINTER CONDITIONS. AFTER SURVEYING THE DEALER LOT, I AM VERY CONFUSED AS TO WHY THESE TIRES WERE CHOSEN AS THE OTHER VEHICLES ALL HAVE BETTER TIRES (E.G. CONTINENTAL, BRIDGESTONE, AND MICHELIN). PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED PHOTOS. EVEN MORE FRUSTRATING, MY VEHICLE NOW DRIVES WORSE THAN BEFORE..ON FRIDAY, I EMAILED THE OWNERS OF THE DEALERSHIP, MIKE, HORST, AND RICK KORALLUS. OF THE THREE, MIKE KORALLUS RESPONDED AND GAVE ME THE IMPRESSION THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD BE REPAIRED. TODAY, THE VEHICLE WAS PICKED UP BY SERVICE. AFTER WORK I DROVE BACK TO JOLIET TO PICK UP MY VEHICLE, HOPING THE TIRES HAD BEEN ORDERED AND REPLACED AND THE NOISE FIXED. UNFORTUNATELY, THIS WAS NOT THE CASE AND JAVIER ONCE AGAIN GAVE ME AN INADEQUATE EXPLANATION. THERE IS NO WAY THESE TIRES ARE MAKING IT THROUGH THE WINTER. NOW, I MUST MAKE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT WITH A DIFFERENT DEALER TO MAKE SURE THAT MY INITIAL ISSUE IS RESOLVED. IN FURTHER RESEARCH, NO OTHER TIRE RETAILER INCLUDING WALMART CARRIES THESE TIRES.

TRANSMISSION FILL PLUG CAME OUT AND LEAKED FLUID ALL OVER MY TRANSMISSION. THE FLUID WAS CHANGED AT MY LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO. ONLY NOTICED WHILE I WAS CHANGING MY OIL ON 9/6/2020. I HAVE NO IDEA TO WHEN THE PLUG CAME OUT AND STARTED LEAKING. I LOOKED IT UP IN ONLINE FORUMS AND IT SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM. I'M AFRAID IT WILL GET DIRT OR OTHER MATERIALS IN MY TRANSMISSION AND MESS IT UP. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO GET TO IT BY TAKING THE AIR-INTAKE OFF AND PUTTING THE PLUG BACK IN PLACE. WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO MY DEALERSHIP AS WELL.
