THE SENSORS WERE FIXED AND THE USED DEALERSHIP THAT SOLD ME THE CAR HAS HAD IT OFF AND ON, IN AND OUT OF THE SHOP FIXING THOSE THINGS, SAID THE ABS MODULE NEEDED REPLACED. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT IS ON THE RECALL FOR REPLACEMENT AND THAT THE LOCAL VW DEALERSHIP WOULD FIX IT FREE OF CHARGE. THE VW DEALERSHIP TOLD MY HUSBAND AND I TODAY THAT THE CODE DIDN'T MATCH TO REPLACE THE ABS MODULE. I LOOKED THE VEHICLE UP IN THE CAMPAIGN FOR THE RECALL BY VIN # AND FOUND IT. MY HUSBAND AND I PURCHASED THIS CAR BRAND NEW, WITH ONLY 252 MILES ON IT. ON THE THIRD DAY OF OWNING IT WE WERE DRIVING AND WITHIN 5 MILES THE CAR BEGAN ALARMING WITH THE CENTER DRIVER CONSOLE INDICATING THE ENGINE WAS OVERHEATED. THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE WAS IN THE RED ZONE. AFTER A FEW SECONDS IT DROPPED SLIGHTLY AND FLUCTUATED IN THE UPPER 2/3S OF THE HIGH TEMPERATURE REGION. WE DROVE TO THE DEALERSHIP, WHICH WAS WITHIN 10 MILES. ONCE WE WERE WITHIN HALF A MILE THE CAR ENGINE BEGAN RATTLING EVERY-TIME I TRIED TO ACCELERATE AND THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE AT THIS POINT REMAINED IN THE REDLINE. IN ADDITION, DURING ALL OF THIS WE TURNED THE HEAT ON TO PULL SOME HEAT FROM THE ENGINE BUT ONLY COLD AIR WOULD BLOW. WE WERE WITHIN THE 3 DAY GRACE PERIOD OF NO QUESTIONS ASKED RETURN POLICY SO WE DECIDED TO RETURN THE CALL AS IT WAS BRAND NEW AND HAD SUCH A SERIOUS MALFUNCTION. THE TRANSMISSION APPEARS TO BE SLIPPING OR DOWN SHIFTING TO MANY GEARS FOR THE AMOUNT OF FUEL DEMAND. THE DEALERSHIP WITNESSED THIS PROBLEM DURING A TEST DRIVE AND I SHOWED THEM A VIDIO OF THE SPEEDOMETER VERSUS THE TACH READING WHILE THIS PROBLEM WAS OCCURRING. IT HAS BEEN 3 MONTHS AND KIA STILL HAS NO FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM. IT HAS NEARLY CAUSED AN ACCEDENT ON ONE OCCATION AND A NEAR MISS HEADON COLISSION WHILE DRIVING THRU OREGON AND TRYING TO PASS IN A PASSING LANE, ON A VACATION DRIVE. WITHIN A SPAN OF LESS THAN 2 YEARS IVE ALREADY REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP, THE BATTERY, AND THE ALTERNATOR IS STILL NEW AND UNDER WARRANTY. THE IGNITION/POWER WINDOWS FUSE CONSTANTLY NEEDS ADJUSTING SO I CAN ROLL MY WINDOW UP OR DOWN. ALL THE DASH LIGHTS COME ON RANDOMLY AS WELL. SOMETIMES THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD COME ON. NEVER HAD A VEHICLE DIE ON ME WHILE DRIVING DUE TO MANUFACTURERS ISSUES. AFTER READING OTHER CONSUMER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUES IM VERY CONFIDENT ITS THE TIPM. SOME COMPLAIN THAT THIS COSTS PEOPLE $1 000S ON A CHANCE THAT YOU CAN GET A COUPLE MORE YEARS OUT OF IT. THE VAN WANTS TO TURN OVER AND CONTINUES CRANKING WHEN KEY FOB IS IN IGNITION BUT DOESN'T TURN OVER. I CANNOT GET IT TO START AT ALL.
