On Friday, July 10 at about 5 PM I was parking in front of one of my favorite restaurants in my new Jeep Wrangler. When shifting going to complete.the park job the gear shift locked the engine began revving and the vehicle lurched forward. I applied the brakes got push back the tevving increased the vehicle lurched forward again. I re applied the brakes the revving increased the shift was locked and I lurched forward impacting the rear of the car in front of me parked. The throttle then released I was able to shift to park the revving stopped.

On XXX and XXX, while driving on the highway, the vehicle suffered a sudden, complete loss of motive power. Flashing warning lights appeared on the instrument cluster, accompanied by a safety warning message instructing the driver to pull over and "Check Hybrid System" immediately. This sudden, uncommanded drop in propulsion on active, high-speed roadways created an immediate safety hazard, forcing emergency maneuvering to coast the vehicle safely to the shoulder. The vehicle was delivered to an authorized franchise dealer (Arapahoe Kia in [XXX]) on XXX, where it has now remained grounded for 31 consecutive days. The service department has verbally communicated extreme diagnostic confusion, stating they lack an on-site hybrid specialist to properly diagnose the high-voltage powertrain/HPV/hybrid battery system. The vehicle has historically received software updates under Campaign SC335A, and the symptoms reported here closely align with the loss of motive power issues addressed in Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign SC338. To date, neither the dealership nor the manufacturer (under Case #XXX) has provided a formal written diagnosis, a repair schedule, or an active resolution. 15V483000 (VW Recall Code 69L2) was issued for 2014 Volkswagen Golf's indicating a "clock spring" affecting a cable that powers the air bag. This is indicated also by the airbag emergency light coming on. I believe a similar, if not the same, issue is occurring in my 2015 VW Golf. Furthermore, the issue has affected all mechanical buttons on the steering wheel. I had taken my vehicle to a VW mechanic that indicated a recall had been issued for this problem. However, upon my own further investigation, I found 2014 was the cut off year for the recall. The issue appeared during the winter last year. I did contact my nearest VW dealership to instigate as to if this issue could be repaired under the aforementioned recall for the 2014. I was informed they could not. As this is an issue in pervious models and is a safety concern, I am issuing this letter in hopes this safety issue could be repaired at the expense of Volkswagen.

[XXX] was turning left onto [XXX] from [XXX]. Two lanes turn left. She was in the inside lane. The traffic light was red, and when it turned green, she started to turn. Partway through the turn, the steering became unresponsive. She couldn't get it to turn left, and she could not complete the turn, and crashed into the pole that holds the traffic signal. She traveled less than 100 ft total from the light to the pole. The accident was at 1:30 PM on a dry and clear day. The car has 8087 miles on it. There were no observed indications of warning lights and no symptoms of a problem. The vehicle was towed to a salvage lot, the Insurance company inspected it and declared it a total loss. All the airbags went off. I mentioned to the adjuster that there was a mechanical problem, and he said they would not investigate that. [XXX] suffered a broken rib on her left side and has some serious cuts from the airbag below the dash, and of course, the seatbelt soreness. While driving, the vehicle displayed a "Service Shifter" warning with no prior warning lamps or symptoms. The transmission then dropped out of Drive into Neutral on its own while the vehicle was moving, causing it to roll before the vehicle automatically shifted itself into Park and applied the parking brake. The vehicle could be shifted back into Drive but repeatedly slipped out of gear into Neutral again within about a minute each time. After parking, the gear indicator display (P/R/N/D) stopped illuminating entirely and has not returned. The vehicle is now unresponsive to the rotary shifter and is stuck in Park with no way to shift into any gear. This failure matches the description of open recall 30D (shifter module software defect causing loss of transmission gear position display), though my vehicle was not part of the currently identified population when checked against the VIN lookup. The vehicle is currently undriveable and has not yet been inspected by a dealer or independent shop.

On [XXX], I purchased a brand-new vehicle 2026 Toyota Camry hybrid from Post Oak Toyota (located at 5800 Tinker Diagonal, Midwest City, OK 73110). The dealership delivered this vehicle to me with an open, active safety recall that had not been fixed. We discovered the recall June 20 2026 after setting up the new Toyota app. The dealership violated federal safety regulations by finalizing the sale and delivering a brand-new vehicle with an unaddressed factory safety recall. I was placed at unnecessary risk during the week and a half I operated the vehicle. Furthermore, I have been deprived of the use of my brand-new vehicle for the vast majority of my ownership period because the dealer sold a product they could not legally or safely allow me to keep driving. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate this dealership non-compliance and delivery violation. the specific recall involves an improperly torqued bolt inside the inverter, which can cause sudden power loss or an increased risk of fire when the vehicle is running. the vehicle has been in the outside lot from July 3rd 2026 to present day so a total of 13 days. Summary
This vehicle had a recall, 201, for the smart junction box. This was due to the blinkers not working properly. The software update was performed, however, the problem still exists. This was due to the smart junction box. Now, aside from the blinker issue, the ac stays on when the engine is turned off, lights come on by themselves, the media screen goes randomly into night mode, daylight running lights are constantly in night mode, smart junction box failure. I have not taken this to a mechanic as of yet, the dealership is aware, and I opened a case with Hyundai case #42940056, however, I have not received a call from my service advisor or Hyundai. They offered to do diagnostics, but, if these problems are not about the safety recall, I would have to pay $350 for diagnostics, unless I get the problem fixed by them. This car has 66k miles with a new engine installed at 59400 miles! At this point, I have the car parked, battery disconnected, and looking for the most efficient way to fix the problem, which must be performed by specialized equipment.
