Description: Some Palisade (LX2) vehicles may display a “Check forward safety systems” warning
message on the cluster along with DTC C272246, due to the front view camera calibration range being
exceeded. This bulletin provides instructions to replace the front view camera when this DTC is active.

Connect the GDS and perform Fault Code
Searching (A) for DTC C272246 on the
FR_CMR I Front View Camera system:
• PASS: If C272246 is NOT found, then
this service procedure is now complete.
• FAIL: If C272246 is found, proceed to
the Front View Camera Replacement
section.

Front View Camera Replacement
1.

Turn ON the vehicle by pushing the
START/STOP button (SSB).

2.

Select S/W Management (A) on the GDS.

Select FR_CMR – Front View Camera (B).

Select System Identification and record the
specifications of the front view camera (C).

These specifications will be used in the
Variant Coding process in Step 10.

Turn OFF the vehicle by pushing the SSB.

6.

Remove the front view camera by referring to
the shop manual:
Advanced Driver Assistance System
(ADAS) > Advanced Driver Assistance
System Driving > Front Camera > Removal

7.

Install the new front view camera in the reverse
order of the removal process.

Calibration (SPTAC)” (H) directions in the
shop manual:
• Advanced Driver Assistance System
(ADAS) > Advanced Driver
Assistance System Driving > Front
Camera > Adjustment

Confirm the proper operation of the vehicle.
