02/18/2022 - The chassis list with parts has been revised to include additional parts. In addition, procedures for
many of the retrofit parts have been added due to RMI procedures either not being available or not yet updated
for 2021B engines. The SRT table has been updated. Information was added about certain trucks requiring an
Engine Harness update prior to updating the software.
01/24/2022 - Changed Claim Category in the PRW warranty table to Truck.
1/11/2022 - This retrofit bulletin affects both MX and Cummins
-powered vehicles. Removed references to MX

engines to avoid confusion.
Condition
eterbilt has determined that certain pre-production vehicles must be updated to production levels. These
P
vehicles have an emissions exemption expiration date of 5/15/2022.
Chassis Affected
115 (US: 110 / CA: 5) Model 365, 367, 389, 520, 567 and 579 vehicles built from 6/15/2020 through 12/11/2020
and equipped with Emissions Model Year 2021 engines and pre-production parts.

Please refer to the chassis list and ensure that the customer is aware of the complete extent of work that will be
performed on their particular vehicle.
NOTE: The parts to be replaced will vary from one vehicle to another with this campaign.
1. Review the attached chassis list for your dealer code and schedule your customer(s) for service if their
chassis is on the list.
2. Confirm with the customer that your dealership will be the repairing location before ordering parts.
3. Using the attached Chassis List with Parts, prepare an inventory of the parts needed and ensure all

If an order for parts was placed prior to 2/18/2022, check the revised Chassis List with Parts to
ensure all parts have been ordered.
4. Review the DWWC or SIR for “Complete” next to the “R2103” campaign code prior to performing this repair.
This campaign must be completed by the 5/15/2022 exemption expiration date to avoid the possibility of civil
fines.
If not completed by the expiration date:
The OEM/Dealer could face civil fines per regulation 40 CFR 1068.101(b), up to $44,539 per engine.
Customer/Owners could face civil fines per regulation 40 CFR 1068.101(b), up to $4,454 per engine.
Warranty
There is no time or mileage limit to this campaign, but to avoid possible fines, it must be completed by 5/15/2022.

TCS365 Case Creation Guide for ordering MX Emissions Label
A TCS365 case for this bulletin is required to order the appropriate label. This label will only be attached to
the vehicle after all retrofit parts are installed and software has been verified.
1. Open TCS365 in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
2. Select: Order Support | Order Inquiry.
3. Select Case Type: Place an Order.
4. Select Case Category: Labels
5. On the Place an Order page, fill in the following required fields as follows and fill in the other fields as
appropriate:

TCS365 Case Creation Guide for MX Software
Follow this guide to create a TCS365 case for this bulletin to ensure the case is flowed to the appropriate
personnel.
A TCS365 case for this bulletin is required to verify and update MX engine software for emissions
compliance:
1. Open TCS365 in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
2. Select Vehicle Support | Technical Assistance.
3. Select Case Type: MX Software Support
4. Select Case Category: Parameter Changes.
5. On the MX Software Support page, fill in the following fields as shown and fill in the other fields as
appropriate:

Some procedures may not be available in RMI at the
time the publishing time of this bulletin. The
attached procedures should be used instead of
those in RMI until further notice.
CAUTION
If the attached Chassis List with Parts file shows a
requirement for one of the Engine Harness Overlay
Kits, refer to the Engine Harness Overlay Kit
Procedure attached in the Links section to correct
the harness. Correct the harness before updating
the MX software. PCI2 damage could result if
software is loaded prior to the harness correction.
3. If the attached Chassis List with Parts file shows a requirement for the MX Emissions Label:
Ensure DAVIE4 is up-to-date and update the engine software as directed by the TCS case.
Refer to bulletin E134 for information about programming a PACCAR MX engine.
Attach the new engine label.
Take a photo of the new label after installation and attach it to the warranty claim.
NOTE
Do not attach the new engine label until all retrofit
parts have been installed and software has been
verified. Improper Emissions labels could make
dealers and drivers/owners liable for fines from
regulatory agencies.
