What is the reason for this notice?
Our records indicate that a Product Update has not been completed on your XXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
(Vehicle Identification Number XXXXXXXXXXXX). During manufacturing, improperly sized bolts may
have been used to install the motor mount on the front electric drive transmission module. Improper
bolts may cause damage to the drive unit case resulting in an oil leak.
What will Honda
do?
Your Honda dealer will inspect the front drive motor mount bolt and, if necessary, replace the front electric
drive transmission module if the motor mount bolt is out of specification, for FREE.
Please call any authorized Honda dealer and make an appointment to have your vehicle repaired for
FREE. Once you make an appointment for your vehicle, be advised that the total inspection and
replacement process may take approximately 30 minutes to 9.5 hours depending on the repair
performed. However, your dealer can provide you with a better estimate of the overall time for this service
visit, as it may be necessary to make your vehicle available for a longer period of time. If you are not the
only driver of this vehicle, please advise all other drivers and passengers of this important information.
