CUSTOMER COMPLAINT
Check engine light (CEL) is illuminated on the instrument panel. If a CEL is present,
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) may be restricted or disabled.
PURPOSE
MMNA has received reports from the field of customer concerns of the check engine light on,
with P0128-00 stored in the Engine Control Unit (ECU)
REMEDY
Check Superscreen for Service Campaign SC-26-001 or Port Mod Code CEFC. If there is no
Service Campaign or Port Mod for applicable VIN, proceed with the remedy below:
Ensure the MUT3-SE software number is at #978, and perform the procedure below:
Caution during reprograming:






Write down all the customer’s electrical device settings such as A/C and radio before
reprogramming and restore them after reprogramming
Turn off all electrical devices to minimize the vehicle's electrical load. Also use an
external power source to ensure that the vehicle battery maintains the specified
voltage during reprogramming.
Connect the MUT3-SE to an AC power source to prevent internal battery discharge.
Before using, make sure the USB cable and MUT3-SE main harness are not
damaged.
Do not perform maintenance work in the engine room during reprogramming. If the
connection between the Engine ECU and ETACS is lost, the cooling fan operates as
fail-safe.
