CUSTOMER
SYMPTOM:

Customers may comment on the following:
● Oil Pressure warning light illuminates.
● Engine oil is leaking onto the floor beneath the vehicle.

CAUSE:

Rear crankshaft oil seal (flywheel side)

This Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) has also been released as a Rapid Service Update (RSU) 26-092,
date of issue May 22, 2026. All applicable RSU VINs have been loaded. To verify this RSU service
action is applicable to the vehicle, use VIP or perform a VIN search in DealerCONNECT/Service Library.
All repairs are reimbursable within the provisions of warranty.
REPAIR SUMMARY:
This bulletin involves inspecting for oil leaks and if necessary replacing the rear crankshaft oil seal (flywheel
side).

DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer’s VIN is listed in VIP or your RSU VIN list, perform the repair. If any vehicle not on the VIN list
exhibits any of the symptoms listed above in the customer symptom section, perform the Repair Procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Start the vehicle and after 20 seconds at idle, accelerate to 3500 rpm for three minutes then turn off the
vehicle.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in DealerConnect>
Service Library under: Service Info> 04 - Vehicle Quick Reference/Hoisting/Standard Procedure.
3. Check for the presence of oil in the engine area coupling between the engine and transmission, and the
flywheel seal area Fig. 1.

4. Is there presence of oil in the coupling area between the engine and transmission Fig. 1?
● YES >>> Proceed to Step 5.
● NO >>> Lower the vehicle. This bulletin has been completed, use Inspect LOP (09-25-75-9A) to close
the active RSU.
5. Replace the rear crankshaft oil seal (flywheel side). Refer to the detailed service procedures available
in DealerCONNECT/Service Library under: 1020D39 - Retentor Traseiro - Lado Volante - Remoção/
Recolocação e Substituição, para Veículos com Câmbio Automático. Incluso Procedimentos Necessários.
NOTE: For SA market only, after applying this TSB, it is not necessary to send DID-I or DID-A.
