Customer States:

+ There is a warning in the instrument cluster about the drive system.

- If the vehicle is equipped with travel assist, a warning message may also be displayed for this system.

+ The Audi drive select function cannot be used.

+ The complaint usually cannot be reproduced in the workshop.

Workshop Findings:

The following event memory entry can be read out of the engine control unit J623 (DA0001):

+ DTC P164700 Checking coding/versions of control modules in powertrain.

If the vehicle is equipped with drive select, the following event memory may be entered in the information electronics

J794 (DAOOSF):

+ DTC U111000 Function restriction due to communication interruption.

Technical Background

Due to a software issue, initialization cannot be performed correctly after the vehicle is started (ignition on). This
leads to incompatibilities with the above-mentioned systems, which then display a warning message in the
instrument cluster.
Production Solution
With SW version 3093 in week 25/2025 for data bus diagnostic interface J533 (DA0019).

This TSB replaces Pending Service Solution (PSS) TSB 2077114: 90 PSS Warning about drive system, travel assist
and Audi drive select not working
Applies to vehicles with high-voltage components:
To prevent the high-voltage battery from charging during the software update, the high-voltage charging cable on
vehicles with high-voltage components must be unplugged BEFORE the SVM code is entered.
Please note that charging the high voltage battery during a software update can cause damage to the high-voltage
components.
The software for the diagnostic interface J533 (DA0019) must be updated on this vehicle. Please observe
the information and instructions under “Additional Information”.
Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
Please flash the data bus diagnostic interface J533 (DA0019) via SVM. To enter the SVM code, use “Flash” mode
on the ODIS tester.
The SVM code is 19A030. Follow the instructions on the ODIS tester.
After the update has been completed, it is necessary to unplug the diagnostic connector and the charger from the
vehicle.
Now start the engine/motor and let it run for a minute, then lock the vehicle and wait for five minutes.
Once you have done this, you can finish the diagnostic procedure via ODIS so that the event memory entries
created during the flashing procedure can be deleted.

Additional Information
The software must be updated on a control unit in this vehicle, or the software must be updated on several control
units in this vehicle to ensure they function correctly in conjunction with the other control units in the vehicle. Please
inform the customer about the software update in question and ask whether they or other third parties have modified
the software (e.g. tuning or retrofitting involving modifications to the vehicle’s software). Please inform the customer
that this software update may neutralize previous modifications to the vehicle’s software performed either by the
customer or other third parties.

Following a software update, please check that all vehicle functions are working properly and the customer settings

(e.g. seat position, climate settings, driving assist systems) are still correct. If necessary, please restore them
according to the customer’s wishes.

If the customer declines the software update, please inform them that this could lead to issues or restrictions with

the use of the vehicle or individual components.

Make a note to this effect on the order before it is signed by the customer. Include this information in the customer

file.
