Important note about measurements on Audi e-tron vehicles:
The engine speed/road speed can be read out using the VAS 6145 by selection in the PICO configuration window
for the log type “OBD” for all combustion-engine and hybrid models.
The following selection must be made for electric vehicles:
+ “Select vehicle type/Audi electric vehicle
— A6e-tron
- Q6e-tron

— e-tron GT
+ Select vehicle type/VAS
— e-tron GE (only the road speed can be read out on this vehicle)
— Q4 e-tron (Older models; always rear electric motor speed)
+ Log type “OBD”
— Q4e-tron (newer models; always rear electric motor speed)
If it is still not possible to establish a connection between VAS 6154 and the PICO diagnostic software, please check
the following:
+ If you cannot establish a connection to an electric vehicle, check your measurement sequence (PICO & OBD
adapter) on another vehicle (e.g. one with a combustion engine).
+ Please always install the most recent PICO software for measurements on e-tron vehicles.
+ ODIS and other programs which can access VAS 6154 must be closed
+ Only one PICO diagnostic software should be opened.
+ Additional PassThru driver must be installed (refer to installation guide attached to this TSB)
Service
It is possible to detect the sources of noise and vibrations more precisely via acceleration sensors and/or
microphones. Information such as engine speed and vehicle speed, which is required for subsequent analysis, is
recorded in addition to the noise recording via the OBD adapter VAS 6154.
The attachments also include a log for measurement and diagnostic drives for support and documentation!!! This is
not compulsory documentation and not relevant for audits!!!

Audi e-tron vehicles:
Ensure that the newest PICO software version is installed, otherwise a vehicle speed signal cannot be
recorded via the on-board diagnosis adapter.
In the PICO software, the setting “EV” must be selected when connecting the on-board diagnosis adapter
VAS 6154.
The attached guidelines answer many questions and can be used to provide support and practical instructions on
using the VAS 611 015 PICO NVH Tool.
The following is attached to this TSB (Figure 1, 2):
+ The Guidelines for acoustic analysis with the Pico NVH kit for noise analysis.
+ The analysis guidelines for the measuring points on the transmission.
