Repair verification: EVAP DTC check after repairs (e.g., static test, dynamic test)
Clear all DTCs and perform a static check and monitor if MIL returns.
Allow the vehicle to sleep. After the sleep cycle, SYSTEM READY ON, set the vehicle for 10 minutes
in STEALTH, wait. Around the 10 minutes mark listen for 4 clicks which would indicate switching valve
operation. Check for any Pending DTCs while the vehicle is still on.
If no pending DTCs are present, immediately test drive the vehicle in SUSTAIN for 10 miles and make
sure the engine runs during your test drive then recheck for any pending DTCs before turning off the
vehicle (Perform this twice). If no pending EVAP DTCs are present, then repair has been completed,
and no further work is required.
