Summary
The recline indicator window on the Galaxy360 was originally designed to simplify installation by providing a single acceptable recline range for all use cases—regardless of installation method or direction of use. There is no safety related issue with this communication. However, based on customer feedback, we understand that this approach can feel restrictive for some caregivers, particularly when rear-facing with older children or when using certain vehicle seat angles. In response, Britax is providing updated guidance to offer more flexibility. These additional instructions are intended to help caregivers achieve a comfortable recline in rear-facing mode while accommodating variations in child size and vehicle design.

While most consumer feedback about the Galaxy360 has been positive, we understand that the recline
indicator may feel limiting for older rear-facing children in certain vehicles. We have carefully reviewed
this response so that we can help provide a positive experience for caregivers and children when using
the Galaxy360. After reviewing this feedback, we are pleased to offer further instructions for an
expanded recline range as follows:
In rear-facing mode, the recline indicator ball may be anywhere within the CLEAR or FROSTED sections
of the indicator IF your child has head and neck control AND the seat is installed using the vehicle lapshoulder belt. For all other rear-facing installation methods, as well as all forward-facing installations,
the recline indicator ball must be fully visible within the CLEAR section only of the indicator window.

Q: Can I make the Galaxy360 more upright for my rear-facing toddler?
A: We have carefully reviewed consumer feedback regarding rear-facing recline angles for the
Galaxy360. To help provide more flexibility, we are offering further installation instructions for
an expanded recline range as follows:
For rear-facing installations, the recline indicator ball may be anywhere within the CLEAR or
FROSTED sections of the indicator window if...
Your child has head and neck control AND
The seat is installed with the vehicle lap-shoulder belt.
Please note that the recline indicator ball must be fully visible within the CLEAR section only of
the indicator window if...
Your child does not yet have head and neck control OR
The seat is installed rear-facing using the lower anchor attachments or lap belt OR
Your child is riding forward-facing.
If you have purchased a Galaxy360 that is not already labeled with the instructions above, we
will be happy to provide you with a free kit containing labels and instructions for their
placement. Kits will be available starting April 20th. To receive a kit, please contact our

Q: Why has Britax provided further instructions for the Galaxy360 recline?
A: Britax is offering further instructions regarding the Galaxy360 recline in response to
consumer feedback that the recline indicator may feel limiting in rear-facing mode for older
children in certain vehicles.
The indicator window on the Galaxy360 was originally designed to help simplify the installation
process, providing one acceptable recline range for all usage cases regardless of installation
method, car seat
mode, or child size. However, after reviewing feedback, we understand that the
indicator can feel limiting for some caregivers depending on child size and vehicle seat angle.
So, we have provided further instructions to help provide more flexibility and support.
Q: Is Britax offering updated user guides or product stickers with the further recline
instructions for consumers who already purchased a Galaxy360?
A: Yes, Britax is offering free kits to consumers who purchased a Galaxy360 that is not already
labeled with the further recline instructions. Kits will be available starting April 20th and
containing labels and instructions for their placement. To receive a kit, please contact our
Customer Service team at 1-888-427-4829.

1. Locate the part number of your user guide on
the inside front cover (Fig. 1).
2. Open your user guide to page 18 (P15201200)
or page 19 (P15146800) of the English section
and locate the section titled "Recline Indicator"
(Fig. 2).
3. Align the user guide label (d) with the
section title and adhere it to the page (Fig. 3).
4. Turn to page 19 (P15201200) or page 21
(P15146800) in the Spanish section and locate
the section titled "Recline Indicator".
5. Place the Spanish label (e).
