Mercedes-Benz AG (“MBAG”), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on
Issue certain Model Year (“MY”) 2025 CLE (236 platform) vehicles, the seam seal in the front left wheel arch
does not meet current production specifications which could result in leaks and subsequent corrosion
in that area.
Remedy

MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will rework the front
left wheel arch seam seal on the affected vehicles.

Launch Date Affected VINs will be flagged as “OPEN” in VMI on Friday, April 24, 2026.
Warranty Claim Notice

Please note the campaign will close after the warranty claim has been submitted. This change can
take at least one-day to reflect in NetStar VMI.

2. Review the entire campaign bulletin first, and perform the procedures exactly as described.
California registered vehicles require a Proof of Correction Label and Certificate, according to California Code
Regulation Title 13, § 2117 – Proof of Correction Certificate.
Non-California dealers may perform the remedy on California registered vehicles, however, please direct
those customers to visit their preferred California dealership to receive the Proof of Correction Label and the
Certificate after the recall has been completed.

Work Procedure
NOTE: Perform work only in the front left wheel arch.
1. Expose and loosen windshield washer fluid reservoir and place to one side with lines connected (Figure 1 and 2).
For basic data, see AR82.35-P-6000WT.

2. Clean seam seal through the opening (Figure 3, A) and rework with brush.
Original seam seal does not need to be removed!
Clean the area with A 000 989 31 00 prior to applying seam seal.
Observe manufacturer's specifications for the product!
