Subject: Upgrade ADAS System Camera Cables

Introduction:
This TSB is recommended to address certain camera cables identified
as non conforming, leading to intermittent camera connection loss.
The root cause has been traced to a 90° connector part that loses
connection under vibration.
To address camera connection loss, camera cables can be replaced
with NEW cables with straight connectors

TOOLS NEEDED:

Split Loom Installation Tool: 1/4" to 7/16" For Nominal Size

Guidelines and best practices:

Route and secure cables so they do not get exposed to sharp edges
Use grommets where cables need to pass through holes for abrasion protection
Maintain minimum bend radius of 30 mm
Anchor cables for strain relief
Maintain clearance from moving parts

Notes

Note: ADAS Standard trucks are equipped with only the backup camera. Steps involving side or
front cameras should be skipped for ADAS Standard trucks.
1.​

Install ¼” split loom on all the four camera cables using the split loom installation tool.

2.​

Add 3 loops of black vinyl electrical tape at every 500 mm (20”)

3.​

Replace the camera cables.
(Procedure will vary depending on the body installed during upfit. )
