resolve the complaint.
If you submit a Technical Assistance Center (TAC) ticket, then the UTR questionnaire must be completed and
attached to the ticket.

Where can customers find information about UTR?
Customers can download an app for the UTR from the App Store and Google Play Store which they can use to
change various settings. The app contains a manual with further information on the UTR. (Navigate to the
homepage and select Software (bottom right corner) - Manual)
Ihave a problem that | cannot solve with the UTR manual and FAQ list. What should | do?

Please use the "UTR questionnaire” attached to the TSB. This includes a checklist that can help you solve problems

with the UTR. If the problem persists, please fill out the "UTR questionnaire" form accordingly (e.g. which

smartphone you use) and open a Technical Assistance Center (TAC) ticket with it.

Is it possible to replace the UTR micro SD card with a larger SD card?

We offer a 64 GB SD card specially designed for the UTR which can be purchased under part number

4G0.063.511.AC.

Standard SD cards from independent retailers can also be used, provided they fulfil the following conditions:

+ Type MLC

+ Class 10 (or higher)

Please note: SD cards from independent retailers generally do not meet automotive standards and it cannot be

guaranteed that they will always function perfectly. The large amounts of data generated by the UTR and the

frequent write cycles can often lead to failures of SD cards from independent retailers.

What happens if the temperature in the parked vehicle exceeds 85°C?

The UTR switches off and starts up again automatically as soon as the temperature falls below 65°C.

What is the frame rate of the UTR?

For 1-channel cameras (only front UTR), the frame rate is 60 fps (frames per second) as standard. For 2-channel

cameras (front & rear), the frame rate is 30 fps as standard. If you switch to race mode, the rate increases to 60 fps,

but only the front camera is active. In Japan, the frame rate is always 27.5 fps due to the local frequency of the

traffic lights. (Setting is automatically applied if the user selects Japan as the location when installing the UTR app).

What is the resolution of the UTR?

+ Front camera: QHD (2560 x 1440)

+ Rear camera: QHD (2560 x 1440)

No parking position is displayed.

If there is no connection between the UTR and the smartphone during the journey, the parking position cannot be

updated. It is recommended to connect the UTR to the optional vehicle hotspot (see operating instructions and/or

AKT video STV_0672) to ensure it is updated when connected to the vehicle hotspot.

Alternatively: If no parking position is shown, there is no GPS connection. This can happen if the vehicle is equipped

with protective glass and/or windscreen heating or if you park in an underground car park. If the vehicle has not

been moved for an extended period, the UTR may take a while to calibrate and then provide the correct values.

Is it possible to read the number plates of other vehicles?

This is usually possible but cannot be guaranteed in every situation:

+ Ambient light: If there is little ambient light, number plates may be difficult to read.

+ Speed: If there is a large difference in speed between the UTR vehicle and an oncoming vehicle, the number
plates may be difficult to read.

+ Fog: If it is foggy or there is a lot of dust in the air, number plates may be difficult to read.

In the event of an accident, professional imaging software can possibly be used for post-processing, so that number
plates can still be identified. Viewers of UTR recordings can also play videos with a higher brightness setting and/or
at slower speeds to possibly reveal additional details.

I forgot my Wi-Fi password. What should I do now?

Press and hold the on/off button for at least 20 seconds. Your Wi-Fi password should then have been reset to

1234567890. In addition, the Wi-Fi name which may have been changed, will be reset to "AUDI UTR". Note: No

videos are deleted when the settings are reset.
The UTR does not save/display video from the rear camera. What can | do?

Please check the mode in the UTR app. If the "Race" driving mode or the "Front camera only" channel is selected,

the UTR will not record videos from the rear-view UTR.

The image from the UTR rear camera is rotated 180°, how can | change this?

The image from the UTR rear camera can be rotated 180° using the UTR app settings. This function can also be
used if the rear camera was installed upside down.

When | want to view video files from the UTR, | can only see the video from the front camera, while the
recordings from the rear camera are missing. What can | do?

+ When using an Apple MacBook: The MacBook default video player does not automatically display two videos
at the same time. However, it is usually possible to switch between the front and rear camera recordings. If
this does not work, we recommend using the VLC player application (also available as free software for Mac).
This will immediately show both videos and you can watch both at the same time.

+ When using a PC: The most convenient way to play UTR video files on a PC is with the "UTR Viewer" which
can be downloaded using the following link: http:/Awww.econes.de/AUDI/UTR/Viewer/

How can | change the UTR language settings?

The UTR language settings depend on your smartphone settings. If you want to change the UTR language, just
change the language settings of the smartphone connected to the UTR.

How much recording time do | have with a standard 32 GB SD card?

In general, recording time also depends on the dynamic range of the images, as H265 compression can compress
more, or less depending on the dynamic range. However, a 2-channel video that is one minute long generates an
average of 210 MB of data. The recording of parking processes and events always takes 20 seconds, which means
a file size of approx. 70 MB for a 2-channel video.

A speed signal (5 km/h) in the UTR app blocks the view. What is the problem?

This is not an error, but a function designed to reduce distractions for the driver. It is displayed when you are
connected to the UTR and drive faster than 5 km/h.

Does the UTR have a negative effect on the vehicle battery?

No. The UTR is equipped with a complex battery management system that ensures there are no negative effects on
the vehicle battery and that the vehicle can always be started when the UTR is installed correctly. If the UTR is
activated frequently in parking mode (e.g. often in an underground car park), it switches off as soon as the vehicle
battery is subjected to too much load. If the vehicle does not start immediately after the UTR has been fitted, then
the UTR has been wired incorrectly and is missing the ignition signal so that it does not switch to parking mode. This
can easily be checked if the UTR does not switch to parking mode in the 60 seconds after switching the ignition off
(UTR does not output the phrase "parking mode" and the UTR Wi-Fi is still visible).

My UTR video shows the wrong time and date. How can I correct this?

The UTR comes with a default time setting. After installation, the UTR searches for a GPS position and adopts the
time that is set in the smartphone connected to the system. This time changes when you adjust the time setting on
the connected smartphone or when the UTR adopts a new GPS position in a different time zone.

How can | watch a UTR video in full screen mode?

All you need to do is tap the UTR video twice. IMPORTANT: This will not work if you have blocked wide screen
mode.

What happens if downloading a UTR video (from the UTR SD card to the smartphone) is interrupted? Could
the video be lost if | no longer see it in the UTR app?

No. Even if a video no longer appears in the UTR app after being transferred to the smartphone, it is still copied. If
you connect the SD card to a PC, the file will reappear and can be backed up.

Does the UTR collect data in the background and send it to Audi?

No, AUDI AG does not receive positioning data or videos from the UTR. The owner of the UTR therefore always has
full control and sole responsibility for all files generated by the UTR.

When do | need to format an SD card?

Normally, the SD card does not need to be formatted. If formatting is necessary (e.g. if the SD card was previously
used for another purpose), Audi will notify you via the UTR.

luse Apple CarPlay wirelessly. How can | connect to the UTR?

Deactivate Bluetooth for the initial configuration and select "Vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot" in settings to add the UTR to the
vehicle's Wi-Fi hotspot. The UTR can then be used when connected to the vehicle via Wi-Fi. Bluetooth can then be
reactivated.

I'm having problems with the initial network login. What can | do?

There is a quick start guide for the initial login. It can be found in ETKA under the part number for the LTE hotspot.
lam using the UTR LTE router for the first time, and the initial network login is not working. What can | do?
Press the power button for 20-30 seconds. The UTR LTE router will then restart and log into the mobile network
again.
