Condition
Customer may complain of an engine stall after a remote start or after their vehicle is
started and it warms up. The vehicle may stall after the first shift into drive or reverse in
cold ambient temperatures less than 32 (0 C)degrees Fahrenheit.
No DTCs will be present for this issue.
Cause
The cause is currently under investigation by engineering and is suspected to be related
to the torque converter.
Correction
Note: If any DTCs are set follow DTC diagnostics for applicable DTCs before proceeding with this bulletin.
1. Verify that your customer’s vehicle is stalling only after a remote start or idling to warm up for 5+ minutes and that
the stall occurs upon a shift into gear. Also verify that the outside temperature during the stall is below 32F (0 C).
2. If the customer's vehicle stalls, replace the torque converter.
