Verification
Connect Accelera™ Diagnostics Tool (ADT) to the PMUs and read active fault codes. Save an image of SCM and PMUs. If the faults code status is active and the count
reads zero, then that fault code is a false occurrence. Refer to table 1.

Resolution
Do not replace the high voltage battery pack.
Inspect terminating resistors B970 and B971 located on the OEM low voltage wiring harnesses connected to the High Voltage battery packs.

If terminating resistors are missing, install a new 120 Ω resistor on harness and proceed with following steps.
If terminating resistors are present and fault codes are still active, perform resistance test on the resistors.
Disconnect terminating B970 and B971.
Measure the resistance between the two terminals of the terminating resistor. The resistance across the two terminals of the terminating resistor should be
120 Ω.
If the terminating resistor has a resistance that is outside of 108 to 132 Ω range, replace terminating resistor.
ADT has an update available which addresses the false occurrence of fault codes. Reach out to 1-800-CUMMINS to obtain ADT version 6.5.1303 or later. If version
6.5.1303 is unavailable, proceed with steps highlighted while waiting for the ADT update.
Erase all fault codes. There are two possible outcomes to erasing all active fault codes in the PMU.
Outcome 1: All false fault codes clear leaving behind active fault codes.
Clearing all fault codes from the PMU clears out all the false fault codes and leaves only the fault codes with status active and counts 1 or more. This process can
require multiple attempts.
Proceed to follow troubleshooting tree for fault code resolution.
Outcome 2: All fault codes are cleared leaving no fault codes active.
If clearing fault codes clears all fault codes, including fault codes in need of troubleshooting, refer to Conditions For Clearing The Fault Code as this can cause the
fault codes to become active.
If no fault codes become active, go to Accelera EV Fleet Analytics to track down potential active fault code or follow technical escalation process.
Go to EV Fleet Analytics. See Service Bulletin, Remote Diagnostics Using Telematics, Bulletin 6502934 for how to navigate Accelera EV Fleet Analytics.
In Accelera EV Fleet Analytics, navigate to the fault code tab. See Figure 2.

In the system serial number (SSN ) search bar, input SSN and select it to narrow information to the specific unit.

Sort the fault codes list by occurrence date from most recent to oldest.
Open the filters pane on the right hand side of the screen. See Figure 4.

Apply filter and look at the most recent active fault code prior to the start of repair. Determine the dates and frequency of the fault codes. Prioritize fault codes
which occurred on the date the customer first observed the check battery systems light.
Continue with published troubleshooting for fault codes with status is active and the count reads one or more.
