Condition
Inadequate cabin heat with fault code P1207 (Cabin Heater High Water Temperature Fault) and/or P1209
(Cabin Heater Dry Burning Fault) present.
Chassis Affected
103 (87 US and 16 CAN) Model Year 2021-2025 T680E Battery Electric Vehicles built from 10/28/2020 through
11/20/2024.
Action
Campaign
Service all chassis affected that enter your dealership, even if the customer has no issue with the chassis.
1. Review the attached chassis list for your dealer code and schedule your customer(s) for service if their
chassis is on the list.
2. In Service Management, select Campaign 01090 to add it to the case. If the unit is released back into
service without performing the repair, make sure to also release the Campaign in Service Management.
3. If you are not using Service Management to start repair orders, review SIR for “Complete” next to the
01090 Campaign code prior to performing this repair.
4. Follow procedures to install the coolant vent line routing kit.
Warranty
For repairs completed by 11/01/2026, Kenworth will pay for parts at dealer net plus applicable mark-up and
labor:
¢ A Meritor OnTrac case submission is required prior to repairs being completed. Failure to do so may
result in warranty claim denial. See the procedure section for more details.
° 3.6 hours to install the coolant heater kit and verify functionality of cabin heater Use Quick Claim code
01090.
¢ File an additional claim for extraordinary circumstances. A quick claim for standard labor must be filed

first.
¢ File the claim within 14 days in accordance with Warranty Policy CA009.
Take-Off Parts Disposition: Destroy take-off parts 30 days after claim is paid

11/04/2025: The bulletin has been updated to include model 520EV.
04/24/2025: Warranty and Procedure sections have been updated to include the requirement of a Meritor
OnTrac case.
Condition
Repair procedures and warranty information for model 520EV are now available.
The cab heater coolant system on Peterbilt 579EV and 520EV models may not deaerate properly,
causing pump malfunctions and inadequate cab heating. Updated coolant deaeration return line parts
and procedures are now available to release trapped air back to the reservoir.

195 (166 US and 29 CAN) vehicle model year 2021-2026 model 579EV and 520EV Battery Electric
Vehicles manufactured from 02/26/2020 through 11/05/2024.
