The Macan can be installed with a trailer tow hitch without ball joint (⇒ Figure 1 (USA version)). This trailer
tow hitch is also available for new vehicles In the above markets by requesting individual equipment “1D6”.
Note the following special features:

max. permissible trailer load (braked)1 of 2,000 kg (4409 lbs) / 2,500 kg (5511 lbs)2
Permissible tongue weight of 200 kg (440 lbs) / 250 kg (551 lbs)2
Pre-assembled wire harness incl. socket for trailer lighting
Payload following installation, restricted by higher vehicle kerb weight!
Permissible total weight and axle load must not be exceeded!

Only Macan 4 / Macan 4S and Macan Turbo if the work has been carried out in accordance with Technical
Information (TI), Customer No. 6690, serial no. 55/25.

To increase the trailer load and drawbar load
For all Macan 4S / Macan 4S and Macan Turbo vehicles from QUARTER 01 / 2026, there will be a new retrofit
kit with the increased trailer & drawbar load.
Until then, the current parts kit applies.
ONLY on the Macan 4 / Macan 4S and Macan Turbo is there the option of increasing the trailer & drawbar
load with the current parts kit.
For this purpose, the work must be carried out in accordance with Technical Information (TI), Customer No.
6690, serial no. 55/25 or the prerequisites for this must be in place.
Further information will be provided to the dealers via the importer at the appropriate time.

Fit trailer tow hitch.

Fit protection cap to trailer tow hitch and move
socket to installation position.

Fit trailer tow hitch on the vehicle and secure it
with new nuts, M12 x 1.5 (4 pcs.).
Tightening torque 50 Nm (37 ftlb.) + 90°
