Plastic Trim Around USB-C Ports On The First-Row Seat Back Is Loose

Issue: Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit a condition where the plastic trim around the USB-C ports on the first-row seat back is loose. This may be due to the USB-C module bracket.
Action: For vehicles that meet all of the criteria in the Issue and Model statements, follow the Service Procedure to replace the USB-C module bracket.

USB-C Module Bracket

Claim Quantity refers to the total number of individual pieces required to repair the vehicle. This may differ from the number of service part number packages due to the unit of issue (UOI).
As Needed indicates the part is necessary but amount of the part may vary and/or is not a whole number. Parts can be billed out as non-whole numbers, including less than 1.
Only If Necessary indicates the part is not mandatory. Refer to the Service Procedure to determine the inspection/inclusion criteria.
Warranty Status: Warranty coverage limits and policies are not altered by a TSB. Warranty coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part.

Service Procedure
1. Remove the front seat USB hub trim cover. Refer to the WSM, Section 501-10A > Removal and Installation > Front Seat Backrest Cover > Removal > Step 5.
2. Detach the front seat backrest cover. Refer to the WSM, Section 501-10A > Removal and Installation > Front Backrest Blower Motor > Removal > Steps 2-5.
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the front seat.
3. Remove the two screws that secure the USB-C module to the bracket using a Torx T10 socket and a ratchet. (Figure 1)

4. Carefully push the module upwards, then twist slightly, and pull it from the seat structure to access the harness.

5. Release the harness retainer by pushing it out from behind the bracket (Figure 2)

6. Detach the USB-C module from the bracket. (Figure 3)

7. Discard the USB-C module bracket.
8. To install the new USB-C module bracket, reverse the removal procedure.
(1). Tighten the two screws that secure the USB-C module to the bracket to 0.75 Nm (7 lb-in).
