This campaign has been issued to provide the relevant repair instructions, parts and warranty
information. This campaign is valid for two years only. Repairs must be completed prior to the expiry
date at the top of this campaign.
This campaign does not apply to any vehicles already registered and in use, either with the JLR retailer /
authorized repairer, or customer. Any vehicle already in use may continue to be driven and any repair
instructions will be communicated through a separate campaign.
This bulletin supersedes Update Prior to Sale (UPS) notice UPS1226-1 with immediate effect. The blue
highlighted text relates only to the date information. All text in this bulletin should be read and
understood in full.

DESCRIPTION OF ISSUE
A potential concern has been identified on certain 2026 model year Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles,
where the front stabilizer bar on vehicles equipped with electric dynamic response, may not have been manufactured
to the correct specification.

ACTION TO BE TAKEN
This campaign directs JLR retailers / authorized repairers to quarantine any unsold vehicles in the affected vehicle
range.
Check the JLR Warranty Portal to make sure affected vehicles are correctly identified prior to starting this campaign.
The Warranty Portal will be updated to reflect only those vehicles affected.
JLR retailers / authorized repairers are reminded that they must not sell vehicles identified as affected by this
campaign until such time as the repair has been successfully completed.
Refer to the warranty section of this campaign for details of the Related Damage Process. At the time of confirming a
booking for a vehicle repair, make sure you check the Warranty Portal to confirm if there are any other outstanding

campaigns, to make sure the correct parts are available and adequate workshop time is allocated for repairs to be
completed in one visit.

CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION
Should this campaign mean that you are unable to deliver an affected vehicle to a customer at an agreed handover
date, advise the customer of the following:
'JLR are committed to delivering vehicles to our customers of the highest quality, complete with the very latest
hardware and software. Our vehicles are continually evolving with our Engineering and Design teams constantly
looking for new and innovative ways to further enhance and develop our vehicles. JLR have advised us that there is an
update to be completed on your vehicle and have instructed us to complete this action prior to handing the vehicle
over to you. JLR apologize that this update may delay the delivery of your new vehicle but are committed to make
sure customers benefit from the very latest technology to make sure your ownership experience is the best possible.'
If necessary, you may communicate technical details of the repair or update that is required on the vehicle, this is at
your discretion.

RETAILER EMPOWERMENT
We appreciate the frustration experienced by both our customers and retailers with regards to the launch of any
Update Prior to Sale (UPS) notice.
Following the launch of Retailer Empowerment (and where you feel it appropriate), you now have the ability to offer
goodwill to customers who have suffered delays in the delivery of their vehicle. Any goodwill offer should be
specifically for a customer whose vehicle delivery has been delayed due to UPS activity to acknowledge the poor
experience.

INSPECTION
1. Connect the JLR approved diagnostic equipment and the approved
battery support unit.
2.
NOTE:
Only complete this step if the vehicle is in transit mode.
Select the link to disable transit mode. Refer to: Transit Mode
(100:00, General Procedures).

NOTE:
Only complete this step if the vehicle is in transit mode.

Mode - Enable/Disable (418:00/BCM, ).

4.
WARNING:
Technicians are advised that a loud audible noise may be
heard when completing the 'Chassis Control Module (CHCM) Active Roll Control System Response Test'. This will indicate
that the stabilizer bar has failed. Refer to step 5 for further
instruction.

NOTES:
The 'CHCM - Active Roll Control System Response
Test' must be run '20' consecutive times.
If a RED warning lamp, accompanied by the
following warning message: 'Stop safely suspension
fault detected' appears wile running the 'CHCM Active Roll Control System Response Test', DO NOT
continue running the test as the fault is now
present. Continue to the next step.
Run the 'CHCM - Active Roll Control System Response Test' 20
consecutive times. Refer to: CHCM - Active Roll Control System
Response Test (204:00/CHCM, ).

5. Inspect the vehicle instrument cluster for a RED warning lamp, as
shown in the illustration, accompanied by the following warning
message: 'Stop safely suspension fault detected'. Check for the
following DTCs in the CHCM: C1046-62 or C1046-64.
If there IS a red suspension warning and / or at least
one of the listed DTC present, a new front stabilizer bar
must be installed. Continue to the Service Instruction.
If there IS NOT a red suspension warning and the listed
DTCs are NOT present, continue to the next step.

6.
NOTE:
If required.

SERVICE INSTRUCTION

1.
NOTE:
All date information in this step is listed in the following
format - 'Year / Month / Day'.
Inspect the date on the new front stabilizer bar before installation,
as shown in the illustration.
The date configuration is Year / Month / Day.
If the date on the new stabilizer bar IS within the
following range - '25 / 12 / 18' to '26 / 02 / 02', - DO
NOT install the new stabilizer bar. Return the stabilizer
bar and order a replacement. New stabilizer bars that
fall within the stated date range may be faulty.
If the date on the new stabilizer bar IS NOT within the
following range - '25 / 12 / 18' to '26 / 02 / 02', continue to step 2.



2. Renew the front stabilizer bar, (see TOPIx workshop manual
section 204-01: Front suspension - Removal and Installation Front Stabilizer Bar).
3. Connect the JLR approved diagnostic equipment and the approved
battery support unit.
4. Run the 'Front Active Roll Control Module (ARCM) - Front ARCM
Pairing To Front Stabilizer bar'. Refer to: Front ARCM - Front Active
Roll Control Module (ARCM) Pairing To Front Stabilizer Bar
(204:00/FARC, ).
5. Run the 'Front ARCM - Front ARCM Pairing To CHCM'. Refer to:
Front ARCM - Front Active Roll Control Module (ARCM) Pairing To
Chassis Control Module (CHCM) (204:00/FARC, ).
6. Clear all DTCs. Refer to: Clear All DTC(s) (100:00, General
Procedures).
7.
NOTE:
If required.
