Dear Forest River Customer:
Forest River is alerting you to an issue involving certain 2026 Catalina Travel Trailer Recreational Vehicles.
WHAT IS THE ISSUE?
The external roof radius trim on the curbside and roadside may not have been properly prepared with primer prior to being
sealed. This condition may allow the sealant to not adhere to the external roof radius trim, which may lead to a leak in the
roof.

Turn off LP Gas at LPG Tank(s). Disconnect the vehicles’ battery Positive and Negative,
disconnect any House battery(s) Positive and Negative, if equipped with a generator
ensure it is off and lastly, ensure the vehicle is disconnected from shore power. Block any
tires/wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling. Failure to do so may result in
electrocution, fire or other personal injury, property damage and/or death.

FAILURE TO CONDUCT THE TSB IN THE TIME-FRAME OUTLINED IN THE DEALER AND/OR OWNER NOTIFICATION MAY
RESULT IN A DAMAGED ROOF AND MAY NOT BE COVERED UNDER THE TSB.
INSPECTION:
STEP 1: AT THE ROOF EXTERIOR, FRONT, LOCATE THE BLACK PLASTIC ROOF RADIUS TRIM (FIG. 2);
• THIS IS FOR BOTH ROADSIDE AND CURB SIDE;
STEP 2: INSPECT THE ROOF SEALANT APPLICATION AS PERSCRIBED;
• IF THE ROOF SEALANT PEALS UP WITHOUT EFFORT, CONTINUE TO REMEDY (FIG. 3);
• IF THE ROOF SEALANT DOES NOT PEAL UP WITH LITTLE EFFORT, CLAIM INSPECTION ONLY;
REMEDY:
STEP 1: PEAL BACK THE ROOF SEALANT AND APPLY PRIMER TO ALL SURFACES, INCLUDING THE EXTERIOR BLACK ROOF
RADIUS TRIM (FROM FIG. 2)
• THIS IS FOR BOTH ROADSIDE AND CURB SIDE;
STEP 2: APPLY THE APPROPRIATE AMOUNT OF ALPHA SEALANT TO THE ROOF AND NEWLY PRIMERED AREAS;
• THIS IS FOR BOTH ROADSIDE AND CURB SIDE;
STEP 3: ALLOW CURE;
STEP 4: CLAIM REPAIR CODE.

Forest River is alerting you to an issue involving certain 2026 Catalina Travel Trailer Recreational Vehicles. Please see
the information below, which describes the issue and provides you with details on the steps you should take to have your
vehicle repaired.
WHAT IS THE ISSUE?
The external roof radius trim on the curbside and roadside may not have been properly prepared with primer prior to being
sealed. This condition may allow the sealant to not adhere to the external roof radius trim, which may lead to a leak in the
roof.
OWNERS: WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
Please contact your dealer immediately and request a service appointment to schedule the free repair. This TSB will
expire on April 1, 2027, or at the end of the Forest River Manufactures Warranty. The vehicle Owner is responsible for
arranging to have the work completed. Please state you have been notified by Forest River of the issue and provide the
TSB number (located at the top of this page) to the dealership. It is also helpful to give the dealership a copy of this letter
when you take your vehicle in for the repair.

HOW LONG WILL THE REMEDY PROCESS TAKE?
The estimated time of repair is .50 hours. However, the dealership may need to keep your vehicle or schedule an
appointment with you for a later date to fit into their regular service schedule.
