UG1 Garage Door Opener
Condition
Some customers may comment that the virtual garage door opener will not program to
their garage door opener. When checking for DTCs a U118B for lost communication with
Garage Door Opener Transmitter will be set current.
Cause
The cause of this concern is the Garage Door Opener Transmitter, which is part of the
A103 roof console, is going into a logic lock condition due to excessive communication
traffic on the LIN BUS.
Correction
To correct this concern, you must reset the Garage Door Opener Transmitter by removing the fuse for 1 minute and
reinstalling.

• Escalade, Escalade ESV, Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon and Yukon XL - Fuse F3DR in the X51R Right IP fuse block
• Equinox EV, LYRIQ and VISTIQ - Fuse F31DA in the X51A IP fuse block
• OPTIQ - Fuse F25DA in the X51A IP fuse block
• Blazer EV - Fuse F22DA in the X51A IP fuse block
• Equinox and Terrain - Fuse F11DA in the X51A IP fuse block
• Traverse, Acadia, Enclave - Fuse F10DA in the X51A IP fuse block
• Escalade IQ, Escalade IQL, Silverado EV and Sierra EV - Fuse F24DR in X51R Right IP fuse block
If the Garage Door Opener Transmitter does not reset and start to operate, then perform normal SI diagnostics.
A new Garage Door Opener Transmitter (A103 roof console) is being released to correct the logic lock condition and
when the new part is available this PI will be updated, or a bulletin released.
