Condition
Some customers may experience a SES MIL and a possible crank no start condition. When checking for DTC's a P062B will have set in the ECM.
Cause
Engineering is still aware of this condition
Correction
Engineering is currently investigating this condition and after reviewing the issue they have found that the condition
can typically be repaired by the following:
1. For the DTC please follow the (Circuit/System Verification) steps within the SI DTC diagnostic information. If no
issues were found, then proceed with next step.
2. Ensure the ECM has the latest programming.
3. Perform a global reset by clearing all DTCs then disconnect the 12-volt battery for several minutes and
reconnect. Verify the DTC(s) do not return.
4. In some cases, if the DTC(s) reset promptly after following the above steps, then an ECM replacement may be
necessary.

5. If the DTC(s) do not reset, then they were set falsely, and no further repairs are needed at this time. Engineering
is currently working on a design improvement for this complaint, and more information will be released at a later
date.
Note: These DTC’s can also be caused by a low voltage condition at startup or stop/start event and any low voltage
conditions should be addressed.
Warranty Information
For vehicles repaired under the Bumper-to-Bumper coverage (Canada Base Warranty coverage), use the appropriate labor operation for the repair being performed. Reference the Applicable Warranties section of Investigate
Vehicle History (IVH) for coverage information.
