When the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system is activated while driving, customers may experience unexpected
cancellation during vehicle operation. When this condition occurs, DTC P2583-76 (Temporary Stop of Integrated
Driver Support System) is stored, and the driver information display may issue a warning message instructing the
driver to clean the millimeter-wave radar surface.

SOFTWARE INFORMATION
Before beginning the repair, make sure all diagnostic and reprogramming software are updated as listed.

NOTE:
• Warranty reimbursement for technician labor is not allowed for routine checking/installation of any available
software update.
• This update will not require entering a service bulletin number.
PREPARATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect a charger directly to the vehicle’s 12-volt battery and leave it connected during the entire procedure to
maintain a steady voltage.
NOTE:
•
Make sure the 12-volt battery is fully charged before starting an update.
•
Honda recommends using the Midtronics DCA-8000 Dynamic Diagnostic Charging System in Reflash Mode,
or the Associated Equipment Corporation ESS6100 100A Smart Charger in Power Supply | DIAG+, 512EVO
connected directly to the vehicle’s 12-volt battery. They should be left connected during the entire procedure
to maintain a steady voltage.
•
Do not use the Midtronics GR8-1100P because the vehicle requires a steady electrical current.
•
Do not connect any additional power supply to the vehicle communication interface (VCI) when it is
connected to the vehicle; power is supplied through the DLC.
Do not use the MongoosePRO VCI for this service bulletin as it is not an American Honda-approved device.
•
2. Connect i-HDS to the vehicle with the Honda Antares Capsule (HAC).
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. Perform an ALL-DTC check and confirm DTC P2583-76 is present.
Is DTC P2583-76 present?
Yes: Continue to REPAIR PROCEDURE.
No: Continue with normal troubleshooting.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Clear DTCs.
2. Update the ACC software using the ECU Reprogramming Application with the Honda Antares Capsule (HAC).
Refer to Service Bulletin 22-100, Updating Control Units/Modules with the ECU Reprogramming Application.
NOTE: Before performing the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) software update, all existing software systems must
be updated to the latest available version. Search SIS for any applicable service bulletins for details regarding any
available software updates.
