CLAIM TECHNICIAN SELECTION INSTRUCTIONS

Dealers can NO LONGER select “NONE” as the

Technician Identification from the dropdown for claim

submission.

•
For In-house Body Shop repairs (including Filiform

Corrosion repairs), a valid Body Shop

Technician MUST be selected from the

Technician Identification dropdown.
•
For repairs completed outside of the dealer’s location or at

an Independent Repair Facility (IRF), “SUBLET” MUST

be selected from the Technician Identification dropdown.
•
All other repairs MUST have a valid Technician from

the dealership selected from the Technician Identification

dropdown.
RECALL COLLATERAL DAMAGE LINKS

In the December 2025 Newsletter, it was announced

that two new buttons were being added to the

DealerCONNECT> Service tab and to the Warranty

Information Center (WIC) for RECALL Collateral

Damage.

It has come to attention that dealers are using these

buttons to submit requests for “Collateral Damage” for

Warranty and Warranty Extensions repairs also.
Note: These buttons are ONLY to be used for Recall

Collateral Damage.

To submit a collateral damage request for a Warranty or

Warranty Extension repair, please use the “LOP Related

Inquiry” button on the DealerCONNECT> Service tab or

WIC.

To help with this issue, the button names are being updated

to Recall Collateral Damage instead of just Collateral

Damage (see screenshots below).

DOOR HEM ALUMINUM BODY PANEL CORROSION REPAIR

Please note, there has been a change in removing

Filiform corrosion and refinishing the Hem Flange

area on the front and rear inner doors for 2018 – 2026

Jeep Wrangler (JL) and 2020 – 2026 Jeep Gladiator

(JT) vehicles.
These doors should no longer be replaced. They can be

repaired. See Collision TSB 31-001-26 for more

information.
UNSUPPORTED GASKETS WITH OE ENGINES

Currently if an OE engine is used for a Warranty

repair when a reman is available, these claims are

returned to the dealers to make an adjustment in the

Totals tab based on the part price difference.
Starting on March 2, 2026, this adjustment will also be

requested for any gasket kits and or other parts

included with reman engine, as gaskets ARE

included with reman engines.
