APPLIES TO:

This service bulletin applies to certain model year 2022-2026 Gladiator
and Metro Star, 2022-2026 FC-94, 2024-2026 KME Panther, and 20242025 KME Predator model emergency response chassis cabs built
between November 2022 and January 2026.

CONDITION:

Certain coolant level sensors may incorrectly activate a low coolant level
alarm and fault code when the coolant is in fact full.

CORRECTION:

Replace the coolant level sensor with the new sensor part number.

LABOR ALLOCATION:

0.5 hour

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Step By Step Instructions
1) With the master switch on, ignition off, tilt the cab up until the yellow lock bar falls into
place on the tilt cylinder.
2) Drain 1-2 gallons from the radiator to lower the coolant level to bring the level down
below the coolant level sensor port that is welded to the surge tank
3) Locate the coolant level sensor on the coolant surge tank on the right side of the coolant
package.
4) Remove the coolant level sensor from the surge tank and dispose of sensor. (see figure
2.1)

5) Clean threads inside the boss that is welded into the surge tank.
6) Install the new coolant level sensor part number 0200-GG9-012 using the torque sequence
below:
a. Hand tighten the coolant level sensor
b. Torque the sensor to 79 in-lbs.
c. Then turn the sensor clockwise as needed to achieve the sensor orientation shown in
Figure 3.1 (Turn no more than ¾ of a turn)

7) Refill the coolant system to the top of the sight glass and reinstall the radiator cap.
8) Release yellow lock bar and lower cab.
