No customer concerns, this is found during the KD2 software update.
While performing the KD2 combined software update as described in TSB 2079690, 00 Combined software update

03.10.00/C (28.13.01) KD2, the following messages relating to diagnostic addresses 8117 and OO6C appear in
ODIS-S:

* 8060

> 8118

* 8125

* 8090

* SDB20F0E
After these messages appear, reversing camera system control unit -J772- (diagnostic address 8117) can no longer

be reached via ODIS-S. Diagnostic address 8117 is no longer shown.
A further attempt to perform the KD2 combined software update fails and one of the messages specified above
appears.
The following event memory entries (active/static) are logged in the control unit for data bus diagnostic interface -

J1273- (diagnostic address 0019):
* U170C00: Rearview Camera System Control Module, no communication on Ethernet data bus (symptom
4556)
« U171400: Rear peripheral camera control module No communication on Ethernet data bus (symptom 4557)
Technical Background
Due to the combined software update, control unit for overhead view camera -J928- (diagnostic address 006C) is

currently in bootloader mode and can no longer perform its master function.
Due to this, reversing camera system conirol unit -J772- (diagnostic address 8117) is also not available.

Not applicable.
Service
Check the code of control unit for overhead view camera -J928- (diagnostic address 006C) using ODIS-S or the

diagnostic log.
If the code “000000” is logged, it is necessary to replace control unit for overhead view camera -J928- (diagnostic

address 006C).
It is essential to refer to the instructions in ETKA and TSB 2078367, 97 Replacing reversing camera system control

unit J772 + control unit for overhead view camera J928; Reference 2078219.
