+ Please note the following when replacing the high-voltage wiring harness for the charging socket as part of
repair work:
+ It is essential to check the part number of the removed High-voltage wiring harness and of the new High-
voltage wiring harness
The High Voltage Wiring Harness for the charging socket UX4 or UX5 is replaced as part of any repair work (Figure
1).

Technical Background
The charging socket was modified in production.
Production Solution
From June 15, 2020, only the new-generation high-voltage wiring harness for the charging socket is fitted in
production vehicles.
Service
It is essential to check the part number of the removed original high-voltage wiring harness and of the new
replacement high-voltage wiring harness.
No further service measures are necessary if the following table applies:

necessary, and this TSB does not apply.
If the following table applies, the measures described below must be performed:

If the high-voltage wiring harness for the charging socket is replaced as listed in Table 1.2, an SVM code will need to
be performed, and a replacement test plan performed.
If the vehicle in question has the PR number JS1 (second charging socket), both charging sockets must
be replaced.
When replacing the high voltage wiring harness for the charging socket, check the information in tables 1.1
and 1.2 so that it can be clearly assigned to this TSB. The following repair must only be carried out if all the
criteria (part number, software version, code etc.) apply exactly. Otherwise, this solution will not eliminate
the issue and repeat repairs may be necessary. In such a case, we may reject the warranty claim and charge
back the cost of the parts.
SVM Update Instructions

To prevent the high-voltage battery from charging during the software update, the high-voltage charging
cable on vehicles with high-voltage components must be unplugged BEFORE the SVM code is entered.
Charging the high-voltage battery during a software update can cause damage to the high-voltage
components.
The parking brake must be released, and the diagnostic interface must be hardwired into the scan tool.

Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.

+ Select “flash” in the ODIS tester.

+ Select “SVM code input’.

+ Perform software update with SVM code C6A012.

+ When quitting the program, send flash log (online)

After the SVM code has been performed the following must be performed with the scan tool.

Using the latest ODIS version, start diagnostics via Guided Fault Finding -> “Select own test”.

* 00C6 — High-voltage battery charger — J1050.

+ 00C6 — High-voltage battery charger, functions.

* C6 — Replace the control module.

After the update, the basic setting of the parking brake must be performed.

Then work through the remaining DTC entries.
