P0BBD00: Hybrid Battery Pack Voltage Variation Exceeded Limit

and/or

Guided Fault Finding (GFF) reports “Unadapted cell capacities were found, please complete TPI
2080095/* according to the instructions”.

NOTICE
This bulletin is only for vehicles with Battery Regulation Control Module -J840- (diagnostic address 008C)
software version 1142. If the software version is not 1142, this bulletin does not apply!

Service
1. Pull fuse “SC28”:
•

Switch off the ignition.

•

Pull fuse “SC28“ from the fuse carrier.

•

Continue with step 2.
NOTICE

After the fuse is pulled, ready mode cannot be established (pulling the fuse is necessary to prevent further
potential module discharge).
– If ready mode is needed, the fuse can be reinserted for a short time.

2. Open a case with Volkswagen Group TAC:
•

Do not perform any additional diagnosis or repair.

•

Open a ticket with Volkswagen Group TAC. Provide the complete GFF diagnosis protocol, and
reference TPI 2080095 in the opening comments.

•

The appropriate warranty repair direction will be provided through the TAC ticket.

Volkswagen Group TAC will vary by model and are not accounted for in this bulletin!
