Some customers may complain of harsh shift into drive.

There may be an issue with the normally high solenoids in the control solenoid valve and

transmission control module assembly (TEHCM) having a valve over travel and contact

or rupture the solenoid screen as shown below.

Correction

1. Verify your vehicle was built after 5/1/25. If so, your vehicle is within the suspect window.

2. Test drive to verify the customer concern.

3. If any applicable DTCs are set, root cause per SI diagnostics for your specific DTCs before moving to the

following steps.

4. If no DTCs are set, start by removing the control solenoid valve and transmission control module assembly

(TEHCM) from the transmission.

5. Check the below locations for the solenoid valve touching the screen as shown in the cause section.

6. If the solenoid valve is found to be touching or pushing through the screen, replace the control solenoid valve

and transmission control module assembly (TEHCM) and the control valve body per SI instructions.

7. If there is no issue with any of these solenoids, continue to root cause the issue per the symptoms of the vehicle.
